2026 Lenten fish fry review. Fish was flaky with a nice crunch. Parts of mine may have been a bit undercooked. The tots were a bit greasy. We loved the option for 2 or 4 pieces. We had the two piece and it was just the right amount. Mac was an excellent server, really love the staff here. Guinness was properly poured. I tried an alcohol free option which was super yummy. Worth a try for sure

I can’t say enough good things about our lunch at Drakes! We ordered the serf and turf sushi, which was some of the best ever. Ask for some yum yum sauce to go with it, Ken’s recommendation. We shared the juicy Lucy’s and teriyaki chicken bowl. The burger was so good it almost didn’t even need sauce. The teriyaki chicken was some of the most tender Ive ever had! The tempura asparagus is the perfect touch. Ken even brought us a free carrot cake because they were busier. It was amazing cake. Best waiter who definitely deserves a raise! We will be coming back again soon. Go get some amazing food in Cookeville.

My wife has been trying to get me to come to Drake’s and I finally got the opportunity to try it. And boy they did not disappoint!
First of all, our waiter, Ken, is one of the best waiters we have ever had!
I asked him his recommendations for sushi and he told me the surf and turf was one of his personal favorites, HE WAS RIGHT!
The steak on top was so tender and juicy and the presentation was lovely!
For my entrée, I got the double mini Juicy Lucy burgers, one of the most moist burgers I’ve ever had!
And to top it all off, our waiter gave us a complimentary carrot cake!
Ken, if you’re reading this, you are a legendary waiter! May God bless you for your kindness and hard work!

Our visit to Drake’s started off pretty well — the atmosphere was nice and our waitress seemed friendly. We even mentioned that it was our first time there, so we were looking forward to a good experience. The drinks were delicious and gave us high hopes for the rest of the meal. My fiancé ordered the mushroom burger, I got the fish tacos, and we decided to share two sushi rolls.
Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. When my fish tacos came out, the waitress told me they were out of tartar sauce. That’s something I would’ve appreciated knowing before ordering, because I definitely would’ve chosen something else. Instead, I had to eat fish with ranch, which was not ideal. Then, when we tried to order dessert, she told us the kitchen had just closed — even though the restaurant was still open for another hour. She knew it was our first visit and didn’t give us a heads-up about that either, which was disappointing.
Overall, the meal started strong but ended on a frustrating note. Between the lack of communication and the missed chance to finish with dessert, the experience just didn’t live up to expectations. We’ll probably try a different restaurant next time.

Comfortable, family friendly sports bar with a wide variety of food and drink options for everyone in your party. The Fried Pickle Chips were delicious appetizer, available in a smaller size for happy hour. The Swiss Mushroom Burger was huge! I had to bring home leftovers.

Absolutely the best place to go and eat atmosphere is wonderful the waitress Sarah and the waiter Ken So we’re all of the other Waitresses such a delight it is absolutely a Delight to come here the waitresscame at the times that were appropriate where your mouth is not stuffed with food. I absolutely enjoy coming here when I am in town for work, I am from another state so I do look forward to coming here when I get to come this way. I will be seeing them very soon ta ta for now.

The burgers were incredible. I have had a lot in my life and these were just something extra special. Cheddar burger with bacon and dipped it in their BBQ sauce. It was amazing.
Their tots were crispy and pickles were fresh too.
This might become the new staple place to visit when I am back in town next time.

I recently dined at Drake’s, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish!
The California Cobb salad was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and a generous portion that left me completely satisfied. It’s a must-try for anyone who enjoys a hearty, healthy salad.
My spouse had the buffalo wrap, which was good but came with a bit too much sauce for his taste.
However, the abundance of fried pickles was a delightful surprise and added for a nice appetizer.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure our needs were met without being intrusive. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual dining experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Drake’s. I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu!

While camping in Spacious Skies we drove over to Cookeville to try Drakes for dinner. The Cheddar Burger was great. The wife got the fried fish and it was amazing. Flaky and not overdone. The tarter made it pop.
