On our way from south Alabama to Birmingham, we stopped in Troy at Rodeo Mexican Restaurant for supper. I ordered the
Grilled Tilapia and Shrimp. It was great! The presentation was good, the tilapia was tinder and tasty, the vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the black beans and rice really added to the over all flavor. We will definitely go back when we pass through Troy again. We highly recommend them! However, they do need to turn the music down a little.
UPDATE – I forgot to mention that the bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve seen in any restaurant.

My husband and I visited Rodeo several times at the older location and loved it. Thankfully the new location wasn’t far away from the previous location. The new place looks beautiful and very colorful! Beautiful tiles all around and same great food. Our server seemed kind and checked on us several times which was appreciated. We will be back!

The blue margarita is delicious here. I took my daughter out to eat on her 8th birthday, the food was decent just isn’t anything I would order again. Our waiter Lolo was extremely kind and patient. I gave it 3 stars because the food wasn’t that great to me. Overall the atmosphere and service was phenomenal I just wouldn’t recommend the street tacos.

Very disappointed in my experience at the new rodeos in Troy. The service made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them and never even took our food order. Her huffed when we asked him for a cheese dip and when he brought the food out wrong. He never refilled our chips we had to ask another waiter and definitely never refilled our drinks. We were here for 2 hours and very disappointed with my dinner at this restaurant. I will be sticking to my other favorite Mexican restaurant in Troy. Also, all of my party were not pleased with the flavor of our food. Tacos had no seasonings, enchilada had no flavor, and Chiro Queso was so small and not flavorful.

Great atmosphere, Surreal style artwork may intrigue or frighten some.Multicolored chips are nothing special, save the color maybe exciting for children. The fajita didn’t come out on a hotplate and wasn’t as spicy/ flavorful as I am used to. They do have a completely new menu which is more the size of a thin book, so lots of dishes I haven’t tried with competitive prices. Maybe back for those newer menu items.
