Not many places opened late to eat so it’s convenient! They serve bar menu food. The menu is short and the food is not memorable But it’s okay. They have live music and a cool outdoor space with toys for kids and grown ups. The bathroom is clean and has a changing table.

My boyfriend and I stopped into this bar while visiting Mi-Wuk Village and had a really uncomfortable experience. From the moment we walked in, we noticed prolonged stares that immediately made us feel unwelcome even though we there to meet other locals we met at a nearby restaurant.
We were taking a few photos of ourselves and the bar to document our trip (nothing disruptive, and no signage indicating photos weren’t allowed). Shortly after, a bartender accused us of taking inappropriate photos of her, which was completely untrue. She asked us to delete the photos, and I obliged. Before we were even given a chance to explain, we were aggressively intimidated by staff and bar goers and told to leave immediately.
The entire interaction felt abrupt, confusing, and embarrassing. We were respectful customers who didn’t even get the opportunity to clarify what we were doing. Regardless of intent, the situation was handled poorly and left us feeling singled out and unwelcome.
We were excited to experience a local mountain bar, but unfortunately this was not a positive or inclusive experience.

On the website it seemed like it was nice place to eat. The menu was small but in my experience the smaller the menu the better is the food.
So as soon as I walked in the atmosphere was off. The bartender was nice but suggested that I go and try another pizza spot. Right away threw me off. After driving hours the last thing I wanted to do was drive more on a hot day. So I didn’t take his advise and ordered the food anyways and sat at the bar while I waited for the food since it’s was going to be a take out order.
While the man went in the back to make the food another bartender was walking up and down the bar table talking to other customers but completely ignored me for over 5 mins not asking if I wanted to drink anything while I waited or a simple hi how are you??
After minutes of nothing I said to her hello! And all I got was hi and walked away..
What was more frustrating for me was that the food was actually good. The pizzas are only sold personal size but the crust was thick and soft. The cheese was a good quality. The wings were small but cooked very well. The potato wedges weren’t burnt or hard
But the staff were so unpleasant that I would never go back . It’s really not hard to be kind.
Oh I do apologize there was 1 other staff was actually super sweet and it was their dog. Only soul that acknowledged me and said hi. The only highlight of going that place was meeting her.

May 2024 update. DJ’s is open and wow, wow, wow what a make over. Great food, still friendly staff, AMI jukebox, air conditioning, highly recommend.
Cozy bar with friendly staff, great juke box, dog friendly. Thriving after the pandemic. Great air conditioning. Definitely a must stop place on the way to or from Dodge ridge or Pinecrest

We didn’t eat any food to start off. But the waitress that worked today June 9th 2025 around 6pm came thru clutch for me and my cousins. We spent $5 per drink we had before we rang the bell to buy everyone a round. There wasn’t more than (7) people in the bar. Everyone thank d us for the free drinks round.
The atmosphere is nice, pool table, ac, pin ball games, (3) bathrooms.
This bar is not only a bar, but a family atmosphere. Kids are welcome. Just not Thursday through Sunday. Kids should stay at camp sites. Adult note considered. Other days more than family oriented. Bathrooms do have a baby changing table. There is (3) bathrooms.
I can honest say it’s a nice atmosphere.

Later, while sitting around the fire pit with friends, the owner came over and randomly threw a box onto the fire without saying a word or asking if we even needed more fire. As he walked away, he smiled and said, “That’s about to go big.”
The whole thing felt careless and borderline reckless, especially since we were sitting so close to the flames. It wasn’t just unexpected—it felt unsafe and like our comfort didn’t matter at all.
After that, I didn’t even want to buy a drink or food anymore—I just wanted to leave. Honestly, I’d give this place a negative star if I could.
Will not recommend this bar if you are not from the area. It didn’t feel friendly or inclusive in any way.

Ryan, Naomi and Zach are doing a Great job here. Great food, great drinks and a great place close to home to meet friends. Bartenders are super nice and make some great drinks.
