Dave’s Italian Eatery is my new favorite Italian place here in Gilbert. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was Happy Hour so they have some drinks and food items on the Happy Hour menu. The selection is amazing and the food is excellent. The staff is so friendly as well. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend trying this new restaurant out and supporting them.

The food is absolutely delicious. For appetizer we had the calamari which was the best I ever had. The breading was flaky and the calamari was fried perfectly. The marinara and a lemony-cream type of dipping sauces that accompanied it were so tasty. For drinks my husband had the old fashioned and I had the Sangria which were made perfectly. The meat lovers pizza was great and the carbonara was authentic and very delectable. The meatballs were soft and homemade. Coming from the East coast with a very large Italian population, I’ve had some authentic Italian food in my day. Dave’s was right on the money! Service was great, too. Our server checked in periodically and asked what we thought of the food. She was great! We wish this establishment decades of success! We’ll be back again and again!

This might be my New favorite Italian spot. Everything was excellent from the appetizers to the pasta quality all the way to the pizza. That fig and prosciutto pizza was amazing. The eggplant Parmesan was perfect. The service was great and I love the casual atmosphere.

We’ve already been here five times, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite local spots. The Korean BBQ wings are a must (so good), the chicken pesto pizza is huge and full of flavor, and my daughter absolutely loves the fettuccine Alfredo.
Huge shout out to Eric the bartender! He’s super personable, makes great drinks, and really elevates the experience.
Awesome food, friendly staff, and such a great new Italian addition to the neighborhood. We’ll definitely keep coming back!

Our first time here unfortunately will be our last. The Good: Chloe. Her service was friendly and attentive. Oh, the Italian Margherita was fantastic! The Bad: Hard dinner rolls and a house salad that was nothing more than plated spring mix from the grocery store. The Ugly: Very very very salty lobster ravioli. The only flavor used was a pound of salt. I thought my wife was joking. So I tasted it. She was not. My chicken parm was tough and chewy. It was perplexing!
We were not the only highly dissatisfied customers. The couple next to us ate one bite of his dish and tried the pizza, which they said was terrible. I’ve included that Pic as well.
I’m not a picky person or eater. But our experience was horrible.

First time in to Daves, Eric was taking care of us and it was an amazing experience. the food was outstanding, the service was stellar, the prices were good. the drinks were on point (eric’s old fashioneds are excelent). food portions were large. everyone was nice, the food came out quickly and had geat presentation. i am looking forward to our next visit to Daves.

We went today after seeing advertisement for the Grand Opening with a free Italian Buffet.
The line was pretty long at the beginning. The event flyer and Facebook advertisement made it sound as if there would be a full line up of food including pizza, pasta and wings. Unfortunately it was a bit of false advertisement. They had Fried Ravioli that was delicious. The Spaghetti with Marinara sauce looked really watery so I didn’t try it. They also had Penne Pasta with Vodka Sauce was pretty tasty. No other food was available on the free buffet. I want to be clear that I’m always grateful for free food but false advertising doesn’t sit well with me, free or not.
There were several men who worked there walking around in nicer attire with jackets and sunglasses, almost a mafia look. They consistently brought out more food but that’s all. I would think they’d extend more friendliness and a welcoming vibe. None said a word to me and no eye contact as they even wore sunglasses inside. Smiling and interacting with potential future customers would go a long way. A lot of restaurants around have good food but the service lacks. If you have good food and good friendly personable service you will thrive! They both are a must to set yourself apart.

They were giving away raffle tickets and kept saying a winner would be drawn in 30 minutes and 30 minutes would pass and they’d tell new comers it’s happening in 30 minutes. Over an hour passed and still no raffle ever took place. We were just standing around so we finally left. We may come back to try a full dine in experience at some point but the initial visit was just average. There’s a ton of restaurants in the area so I genuinely wish this place good luck! Local owned is always a plus!

Friendly staff , good service , my ravioli was piping hot. My marinara sauce was not my favorite but it may be yours . Sauce is very subjective so my opinion shouldn’t discourage you.

Finally got to try out Dave’s! As a NYer having good Italian in AZ is a huge treat. We went on Valentine’s Day nice and early to beat the crowds. Place was mostly empty, so we were sat really quickly. Even with no crowd service was real slow. So it took awhile for our server to come by, drinks took long to arrive, and food was even longer. The worst part was we didn’t have silverware or salt/pepper or even grated cheese when the food arrived. Server never even came to check on us after we received our food. Took forever to get her attention, and it honestly ruined the vibe.
Luckily the food was excellent or I’d be giving a one star review. Interior is fantastic too. Very nicely decorated and comfortable spot.
We will definitely be back, but if I get that server again I will ask for a different table.
