This is my second time here and I can confidently say this is the best izakaya I’ve ever been to. A solid five stars without a doubt! The service is excellent, and the chef is so friendly and engaging. But the real highlight is the food. I’ve tried so many dishes, and unbelievably, every single one was delicious! I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for making such incredible food!

One of my favorite izakayas!!! Happy hour deal is the best. My boyfriend and I used to visit here after 10pm and eat sushi! Salmon sushi is our favorite <3

Haru Sushi exceeded all expectations! The grilled skewers were the standout—flame-kissed perfection with bold, savory flavors that had me ordering seconds (and thirds). Each skewer was cooked to perfection and packed serious flavor.

The no rice rolls were just as impressive—light, fresh, and beautifully presented. They let the quality of the fish and ingredients take center stage without the filler.

This place is a must-visit if you’re into high-quality sushi and amazing grilled bites. Easily one of my new favorites! @sushitraveler

Extremely High Quality Fish in an Authentic Japanese Style Restaurant.

This has got to be my favorite late night restaurant not only in Hollywood but the entirety of LA. Their late night Happy Hour menu is a winner here.

Fresh Sushi Rolls, flavorful Takoyaki, light and crispy Chicken Karage, you cant go wrong if you want a taste of everything!

Support local business like this here in Thai Town cause this place is a hidden gem!

As you can see from the photo, we ordered quite a lot of food. Overall, the dishes were flavorful without being overly salty, which I appreciated. However, the portions were on the smaller side, and the size of the meat and other items felt a bit modest. I usually order edamame as an appetizer, but they were out of stock that day, so I tried the seasoned peppers instead—and they were delicious. The restaurant doesn’t have a lot of seating, so if you catch it at the right time, you can be seated right away. Otherwise, there might be a bit of a wait.

One thing to note: for those who prefer not to valet (myself included), finding street parking can be really difficult.

One of the best sushi & sashimi I’ve had in LA so far. Staff and employees were very nice and attentive. I love how they embraced gender equality since they have a female sushi chef. My favorite was mystery box OMFG this was refreshing and delightful with reasonable amount of food. I would recommend anyone who wants Japanese food to check this place out. Thanks again for your delicious food and kind service

With everything being so pricey these days, we’ve been cutting back on eating out. But when we do, we want it to feel like a special treat. That’s exactly what happened on our Friday night date at Haru—we were blown away by our choices and left feeling like we’d hit the jackpot! It was some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while, and surprisingly, it didn’t cost a fortune.

The quality and service were outstanding. The sushi chef who served us was incredibly friendly and passionate about his craft, checking in regularly to make sure we were enjoying our meal. I used to order uni on every occasion, but now I save it for special moments. This was definitely the right time—Haru’s chef let us try both options, and while the Japanese variety was arguably better than the Santa Barbara uni, there’s something to be said for consistency. Honestly, I’d happily take both any day.

The chirashi bowl was mouthwatering, packed with fresh, delicious fish—a fantastic choice, especially since we almost went with the sashimi combo. We’ll definitely be back. 5 out of 5 stars all the way!

Amazing food and great presentation. The sunny roll was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. We also got the sashimi combo 2 and it was an amazing assortment of fish.

We also tried some of the bbq skewers. The a5 waguy was worth every penny. The chiceken thigh was also delicious.
