Fatteh with Vegetable Plate: Specialty breakfast of garbanzo beans mixed with yogurt, tahini sauce, garlic, lemon, olive oil, and toasted pine nuts topped with baked pita chips. Served with olives, pickles, radish, mint, and tomatoes. It’s a light breakfast option packed full of flavor and refreshing way to start the day.
️ Beef Shawerma Plate: Thinly sliced beef, tomato, onion, parsley, pickles, and tahini sauce served with hummus, salad, rice, and bread. This was the hubby’s favorite. Best beef Shawerma! Packed full of flavor and tender. Also best hummus! Fluffy and not too lemony.
Kashkaval Cheese Crescent: Kashkaval cheese, sesame seed and black caraway seed. If you love cheese like I do, you’ll love this! It’s like a cheesy calzone! Dip it into hot sauce for a kick!
Loaded Fries Bowl: French fries, garlic paste, ketchup, and coleslaw, topped with chicken or beef. Ordered chicken which was flavorful and tender. Love me some good loaded fries!
Arayes: Grilled pita pocket stuffed with seasoned ground beef, onion, and spices. Best way to describe it is a quesadilla but filled with meat instead of cheese. Dip it into the hummus for a twist.
Sheesh Tawook Wrap: Grilled chicken breast, garlic paste, Mediterranean spices, and pickles. Nice light lunch with flavorful chicken wrapped up with garlicky and pickle flavor.
Beef Shawerma Arabi: Thinly sliced beef, tomato, onion, parsley, pickles, and tahini sauce, served with french fries. This is my favorite! It’s like a Lebanese steak burger and fries!
A variety of sides were available, but the eggplant dip truly stood out as my favorite. The staff was gracious and attentive, kindly walking us through the menu and offering thoughtful recommendations. Thanks to their guidance, I tried the cheese and zaatar manoucheh, which ended up being my favorite dish of the entire meal.
A special thank you to Chef Johnny and Dania for their outstanding hospitality and attentiveness, it made the experience all the more memorable.
We ordered the halloumi cheese and the veggie combo platter, while my gf went with the chicken shawarma. Portions were generous, everything tasted super fresh, and we loved watching dishes come out piping hot from their gas-fired brick stone oven. I gotta say, you can really taste the difference! The space itself isn’t very big, but they do offer outdoor seating, which is a nice option. The staff were friendly, helpful, fast, and efficient. Pro tip: you order and pay first, there’s no traditional server taking orders, which actually makes this a perfect place for quick meals and takeout. Super casual vibe, reasonably priced, and solid food all around. We’ll definitely be back!
Would go again to try the various offerings.
The meal came out with extra pita, and a side of tahini, lemons, and hot sauce. Everything you could want to enjoy Falafel. And wow! It was the best I’ve ever tasted. Which is saying a lot, as we’ve had great middle-eastern food in our travels to Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and Dubai. The hummus here was beautifully presented and so smooth and creamy, I devoured it. The Baba was perfectly seasoned, just a little bit smoky, and super fresh tasting. The pickles and veggies made each mini sandwich a delight. I am so happy to have this great restaurant close to home. Can’t wait to try other menu items.
At the Anaheim location, everything tastes fresh and authentic — especially the wraps. They use fresh dough to make their bread right on the spot, which gives every wrap an amazing flavor and texture. But at this new Aliso Viejo location, they’re using regular pita bread instead of fresh dough for the wraps.
I ordered the Philly Steak wrap today, and sadly, it was a big letdown. The pita was dry, the texture was off, and it completely changed the flavor — from a solid 10 at the Anaheim spot down to almost zero here. The wrap tasted bland and just didn’t have the same quality or freshness I’m used to.
To make things worse, many menu items weren’t even available yet, and the cheese pita we ordered from the oven was also disappointing — dry and lacking flavor. For a new restaurant, this isn’t a good start.
I truly wanted to love this place, but after this experience, I won’t be coming back. The Anaheim location is still amazing and worth the drive — but this Aliso Viejo branch needs major improvement in food quality, preparation, and consistency before I’d consider trying it again.
Not recommended — hopefully they take feedback seriously and bring back the same standards from Anaheim.
