Would give 10 stars if I could. Erin is like your thoughtful, stylish cousin with a cool vibe and great taste in wine. Oh yeah and the wine is great too! I discovered all my faves thanks to Erin and Co’s recommendations. We’ve never had a bad bottle here and wouldn’t buy wine anywhere else. Highly recommend coming to one of their tastings or other events for the full SB experience.

I love this wine shop. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. There is a nice selection of wines to choose from as well as snacks. I would definitely recommend Second Bottle to anyone looking for a beautifully curated wine shop. We are so lucky to have them in our neighborhood!

Stopped by last Thursday for the wine tasting, first and last visit. Service was abysmal. Although I made eye contact with the owner/manager, she made no attempt at a greeting. We waited about 5 min while the man behind the bar ignored us and continued to chat with two women standing there. We left. After we exited, the owner/manager ran out of the door to the sidewalk after us to finally welcome us to the wine tasting, we declined for obvious reasons. Additionally, no attempt was made by any member of staff to acknowledge the two people that entered after us. Although this shop is in my neighborhood, I would never recommend supporting it. The vibe is horrendously unwelcoming.

Love this shop. They have a great rotating and regular selection of wines from various regions. The snacks are also to die for especially the cookies and any number of tinned seafood. I would love to see a Virginia specific section especially with tariffs happening.

A true gem of a find. Our hands-down favorite spot to purchase wine, cheese, charcuterie, and additional premium quality provisions. The owner can almost always be found working the shop. She’s the absolute best She is also incredibly knowledgeable and eager to assist everyone. Give her some details of what your general wine and flavor profile preferences are, and she will undoubtedly set you up for success. Not to mention, you’ll possibly learn something new that can be very valuable for those unfamiliar with wine or looking to explore. A must visit, for anyone and there are dog treats for your Pupperoni! What more could you want?!

A wonderful neighborhood wine shop with an extremely knowledgeable, friendly owner and a varied range of wines to suit all budgets. Loved the additional food products like cheese, charcuterie and tinned fish. Excellent roster of events throughout the week to enhance its place in the community. Will be back!

Best neighborhood wine shop. We used to live in Church Hill and were so excited to see a wine shop going into this location. Erin and Garrett are awesome and always have a good recommendation for us. They are our go to wine shop in Richmond. Erin can also do private tastings which are super fun! Thursday wine tastings are a great way to kick off the weekend too.

A fantastic wine store for a variety of reasons. Quality wines with plenty of organic options. As my partner has many allergies, this is helpful. The wines are interesting, not the same stuff available everywhere. The price range is very reasonable. I’ve gotten great wines there for $17 up to $27. You can go higher if you like. Finally the folks running it are friendly, knowledgeable & put out great energy. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
