The PB&J Burger was absolutely spot on! Simply delicious and well made. Went over the weekend with my wife. Her Mac burger was out of this world apparently too! Only issue we had was they wouldn’t take cash. The guy said something about not having a cash drawer. It was about an hour and a half after they opened, not sure if that’s a regular thing or not. I just prefer using cash when we go out to eat. Makes it easier to tip great service/cooking when we see it too. Would have been a solid 5 stars if it weren’t for this.
I have no qualms about it being inside Ridge Hall. Worst case scenario it takes you an extra 2-3 minutes of walking in to get a really good burger basically. Kind of a reading terminal ish vibe maybe?

We LOVE Lucky’s. All of the burgers are so unique, it’s fun to get a great burger with crazy toppings you’d never think of, we love trying all the new additions to the menu (and there are new ones often!). So far my favorites are the Oklahoma, the peanut butter burger, and the Gorgonzilla. Also love that you can get a regular double patty or just a single patty. The hot dogs and crinkle fries are delicious too. And huge bonus, the entire staff is amazing. 10/10

So Ridge Hall is pretty new as of writing this review, but we were excited to check it out. I’ll save the review of Ridge Hall itself and will keep this just for Lucky’s, because they somehow managed to blow expectations out of the water. Best chili dog I’ve had since a childhood spot closed in the early 2000s. They’re known for their PB burger (with bacon and a side of jelly) and while usually the “odd” ingredients are the star of the show, the burger itself was seasoned so perfectly and made fresh – just incredible. Lucky’s is known for a reason, and they brought that with them to Ambler along with a staff of people that were so warm and friendly. Get to Lucky’s before it’s overrun! And come even when it is, it’ll be worth it.

This is just the first impression review! I will give all eateries in Ridge Hall a second chance and will update reviews accordingly. This just happens to be my first impression review for Lucky Roadside stand.
We stopped in Ridge Hall and landed on trying Luckys Roadside on a Saturday for lunch when the hall wasn’t fully operating, but instead only three eateries were available to choose from. I can say that the food was fairly tasty (burgers were salty), but for the final price, the wait time, and the hall atmosphere…. I’m just not sold on the hall experience.
For a similar price we could have had a full-service restaurant experience at a sitdown place with a server and comfortable seating at a table or booth to go along with it.
We ordered this meal to go because the building was so hot and sticky there was no way I wanted to sit in there and eat after having already sat there for 20 to 30 minutes waiting for the food in the first place. By the time we actually got our food and walked somewhere where we could actually sit and eat it, everything was cold. Let’s not fail to mention that the seats are few and industrial style (AKA not comfortable).
I know they’re all still new and still working out the kinks so I will give them a a second chance at another time.
