We stopped into BurgerFi in Wakefield after a full day of showing homes in Chapel Hill, and let’s just say… this was the closing we needed!
We ordered burgers and a couple of cold beers, and it hit the spot in a way only a perfectly cooked burger can. Juicy, flavorful, not sloppy. The kind of burger that makes you pause mid-bite and nod in approval.
But here’s what stood out. The team.
Brand new location, and you’d expect a few hiccups. Nope. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help. They went out of their way to make sure everything was right. You could feel the effort.
Great food gets you in the door. Great people make you come back.
Wakefield, you’ve got a good one. We’ll be back after the next round of home tours!

This is a new location and building. I came right before rush hour so parking wasn’t bad nor was finding a table.
The plain sweet potatoes and cinnamon sweet potatoes are good crunchy outside and soft in the inside.

Delicious food! Vegetarian options! Gluten free buns available! They have thought of everything. Best veggie burger I’ve had in forever…maybe ever! (Vegi-fi regular). Fries are great too.

So glad these guys are finally open. This location has been in the works for 7 years!! WTH? They had a soft open 12-10-25. Grand opening is January 15, 2026. All that said, my burger was excellent. Staff were very friendly, helpful and place was ultra-clean. I usually eat at the downtown Raleigh location but I will be shifting my business now to here. Night manager fully explained their two-step cooking procedure for their daily fresh-cut delicious fries. Highly recommended eatery. BTW: This location has a drive-thru! Woo-hoo!

This is a nice BurgerFi. Worth the trip for the onion rings alone! I also love the CEO Waygu Burger.. Today I tried something different and got their chili dogs with onions. I thought they were excellent and loved the real meat chili. I hope this stays on menu. I already want another one tomorrow!

Spectacular. My wife and I came for breakfast. I got the BurgerFi breakfast sandwich and let me tell you, it was amazing. On the bun was sausage, a hash brown, and over easy egg and cheese. Shoutout to Bob who suggested dipping it in syrup to elevate it! SUPER friendly staff who checked in on us multiple times. Bob even took our trays and threw the trash away for us. My wife got the avocado toast and she said it was delightful. 10 out of 10 experiences and we WILL be coming back!

Love the aesthetics here and really looking forward to the breakfast menu they got going on! My wife and I are big fans of the cleaner ingredients they use in their food and it’s always consistently great tasting food. They have a drive through as well which is great and something Burgerfi doesn’t usually do. Check out the new spot asap!

We had a great experience at BurgerFi! All of the staff is super kind, welcoming, and really helpful. The front ladies were super sweet and made our time even more enjoyable, which we really appreciated as a family. We also found out that kiddos eat free on Tuesdays, which was a super added bonus for us! It made the visit even better.
The manager, Trey, was especially awesome—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience stand out. You can tell the team really cares about great service and creating a welcoming environment. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences we’ve had at a restaurant. We’ll be coming back! Thank you for making our random tuesday dinner so fun!
