Just had one of those meals you keep thinking about long after you leave

We ordered the wagyu beef sammy, the chicken salad sammy, and a burrito, and every single thing was incredible. The wagyu sandwich was rich, juicy, and packed with flavor – perfectly cooked and absolutely indulgent – and huge. The chicken salad sammy was fresh, creamy, and balanced with just the right texture and seasoning. And the burrito? Huge, satisfying, and loaded with flavor in every bite. Mucho sabor!

You can tell they really care about quality ingredients and putting together food that actually tastes amazing, not just looks good. Everything came out fresh and perfectly prepared.

Honestly, this place knocked it out of the park. If you’re debating what to order… just go hungry and try multiple things like I did. Totally worth it.

I stopped by Llama Bar on a Saturday after hearing about their fun day-party vibe and it definitely lived up to the hype! The energy was great from the moment I walked in. There was a DJ playing, a lively crowd, and even photographers snapping photos, which made the atmosphere feel vibrant and social (and I’ll never turn down a good photo op!).

They offered a great mix of food, cocktails, coffee, and matcha, so it works whether you’re looking for a light brunch or a more social afternoon. I ordered the strawberry matcha, which was a little sweet for my taste but still delicious and refreshing. For food, I tried the avocado toast with crab cake, which came with a small side salad — very fresh, and a great portion for the price.

The staff was incredibly friendly and hardworking, but my only complaint was that service felt a bit slow. It seemed like they were slightly understaffed for the size of the crowd, so things like clearing tables and bar cleanup took a little longer than expected. I did notice on their website that they’re currently hiring, so I’m sure that will improve soon.

Overall, Llama Bar is a great spot to grab a bite, sip something good, and enjoy the music and energy especially if you’re solo and want a fun, social vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

I loved the food. The vibe was relaxing. The service was fantastic. Brought in my chihuahua in his backpack and we just hung out. The only thing was the cleanliness of the floors but the weather is gross and snow is melting so manage expectations appropriately.

Just stumbled upon this cafe and absolutely love! The interior is stunning, cozy and well lit. The nicest coffee shop vibe in Navy Yard. I love how much space there is too. I ordered the banana matcha and some sort of apple pastry, both delicious. Definitely will be back!

Absolutely no complaints! Food, mimosas, service, and atmosphere was a 10/10. We are from out of town, but will make sure to stop by the next time we come to the city. My friend group tried the wagyu chop cheese, crab cake blt, sweet potato quinoa bowl, and french toast. We all enjoyed our meals! Compliments to the chef and owner!

the inside was nice, wasn’t too loud. However, my hunger immediately went out the window when I saw MOLDY bagels that were out in the display to be served. I pointed them out to a tall guy who wore a hat that worked there but he just sighed & rolled his eyes. He removed one that looked the worse but you could still see others he didn’t even bother to check.

Great place to lock in and get some work done. Very spacious with a bohemian aesthetic, the music was a vibe, service was quick & easy

The iced matcha latte with oat milk was perfect and not as earthy as I’m used to it tasting – it paired perfectly with the chicken Caesar salad.

I think they have social events and a DJ some days; if so, I look forward to checking it out

I ordered delivery and I didn’t receive either bags of chip, potatoes were under cooked and the crab cake is full of breading. The salad was wilted when I opened the box. Definitely wasn’t worth the $50. Go to the next spot on your search.

3rd times a charm! This is a gem to the city. I have been on 3 completely different occasions and always had a pleasurable experience.
First was to meet a friend who actually put me on to the spot since she lives close. That day, I ordered the spicy Sammie sandwich and the mango mindset. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place very much. It gives calmness.
The second visit was with a local co-working meetup group. As this was an event, it was really packed, but it was still welcoming as you could sit with anyone. They also brought out tables as space ran low. Ordered the hot honey soy chicken sandwich.
Lastly, I showed up today for the coffee shop day party. I was impressed how they moved around and completed orders cause it was a lot of people. I got the PB&B Bowl.
The chef has always been on point and hospitality.
I’ll return to try the rest of the menu and for the calm atmosphere. Most likely be a while before I return to a coffee party as it was too loud for me. Note, probably best to metro in cause depending on time of day street parking can be a hassle.

Visited Llamabar recently and enjoyed the bright, cozy atmosphere filled with greenery. The café felt welcoming, with an inviting setup and convenient QR-code menus. Their pastries were fresh, coffee was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

We experienced a notable wait due to a mix-up with our order—a missed ticket—but the team handled it gracefully and apologized sincerely. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of if you’re in a hurry.

Overall, Llamabar is a great spot to relax or catch up with friends over breakfast or coffee. A little more variety in bakery options would make this charming spot even better. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby!
