If you want an authentic old-world European patisserie experience right in the heart of Madison, this is it.

From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and craftsmanship. There is an actual patisserie chef who starts before dawn making everything fresh, and it shows in every detail , from the beautifully finished tarts to the perfectly laminated pastries.

I stopped in for sourdough slices and a raspberry danish, and both were exceptional. The sourdough had that ideal crust and chew, and the raspberry danish was buttery, balanced, and not overly sweet , just the way a true European pastry should be.

The display case alone feels like stepping into a Parisian bakery. Lemon meringue tarts, chocolate mousse, delicate fruit pastries , all artfully made and clearly done with pride.

Even better, they also own Sinclair’s across the square . A charming 1930s–40s gas station turned coffee shop — and on Saturdays the chef brings over his fresh cinnamon rolls, along with other pastry options from the patisserie. It’s such a thoughtful way to serve the whole town.

Madison is lucky to have a place like this. True craftsmanship, beautiful atmosphere, and pastries made by hand the way they’re meant to be.

Highly recommend.

Rarely do I give full stars. This is worth it. I bought a cherry pistachio danish and 1 of each petite four… sister had the blueberry fontaine. All has been spot on in taste and freshness. The young lady helping us offered to keep my to go petite fours boxed and in the cool restaurant while I shopped on the square.

A fine place to stop by and pick up your favorite snacks! We love their sour dough bread, keeps us coming back and we’re over an hour away. The chocolate mousse products rival any I’ve eaten anywhere!

When we’re home thinking about heading to Madison, the Patisserie is an automatic stop!

Enjoy!

I used to live in France. I make croissants from scratch. The pastries and bread here are as good as any you will find anywhere in the world. So amazing to find them in such a charming town square in Georgia. Honestly, I would consider moving to Madison now that I know this place is here. Really all you need for happiness is a good bakery, a good coffee shop (Sinclair) and a good gastropub (Heart and Crown).

We got a loaf of sourdough and 4 pastries (cherry pistachio Danish, s’mores, berry eclair & hazelnut round) and everything was absolutely incredible. A must stop if you’re in the area! You can see everything being made fresh in the kitchen as well. Reasonably priced as well.

My wife and I took home 3 pastries to Duluth, and they are by far, the best we’ve had. And I was raised in Montreal. I had a coffee eclair, and the dulce de Leche Danish. Incredible! My wife had the cinnamon roll and to quote her ” best ever.” Treat yourself to stuff that you can find only in the best bakeries and pastry shops in Paris. Merci beaucoup.

Beautiful bakery. Its delicious smell reminded me of the authentic bakeries in California that you could smell down the street. The young lady that helped us was so helpful and friendly. She never rushed us while we attentively and slowly looked at all their delicious treats. Everything we purchased that day was fantastic. We will return as a family to get more of these outstanding, mouthwatering, flavorful baked goods.

Best deal in breakfast in Madison. Ham and cheese croissant is now our go to for a quick delicious breakfast at a price that’s very reasonable for a fresh homemade pastry. The sourdough bread is also a must and join the bread club

Beautiful place, with delicious pastries.

We got a ham and cheese croissant and it was the freshest croissant I’ve had (she told me it had just come of the oven). We also got a strawberry Danish and a blueberry tart, all fresh and delicious.

They had some other gorgeous looking pastries, more breakfast items, and baguettes, along with sourdough and brioche loafs.

Will be back!
