Did the ribeye and Mac n Cheese, they have multiple sides I really wanted to try the steak. It was good and filling seasoned just right. Mac and Cheese is good too it’s baked and a creamy cheese sause. Loved the environment and definitely would come back.

This place is a gem! Derek, the bar manager took excellent care during our visit. The meatballs are delicious- do not skip these babies! I am usually skeptical about eating fish/seafood so far from where it is caught but the sea bass was flaky, fresh, and the perfect seasoning! Oh dessert you ask?? Even with the espresso crème brûlée to go it was magical! To cleanse the pallet ask for the fresh squeezed raspberry cucumber lemonade!
I drove from eagle pass for this dinner and I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area for business. Keep up the great work!

The food was the best my family and I have had in Del Rio Texas. We ordered the bison burger and my son the 822 Burger. As an appetizer we chose the pasta with beef tips and calamari. We usually drink water with our dinner. The water tasted filtered, it was cold, very refreshing, ice not needed. Our server(wish I’d gotten her name) was the best server in this entire town. My son lost his stylus pen and we weren’t sure where we dropped and when she noticed we were looking for something she literally dropped to her knees to help search under the bench. We didn’t want her to do that but we greatly appreciated her interest in helping us. I’ll definitely be going back. My daughter is hoping to celebrate her 21st birthday there.

Food was truly an unexpected “wow”! Fish tacos were big, great crust on the fish and delicate inside. I had the standard loaded baked potato, steak and wedge salad. Steak was flame grilled, lightly seasoned and cooked just as I ordered. Great piece of meat and tender. Baked potato was cooked well, and toppings did not overload it. Wedge was very fresh. Dressing was just enough. One suggestion is to beak up the bacon b/c the pieces were a tad large. I tasted the shrimp and grits too. Very, very good. Craft cocktails were tasty and unique. Service very good. Super experience all around.

Stopped by while on a cousins’ reunion week for dinner without reservations. We were able to sit in the bar area. The fish tacos were dry at first but delicious with the add ons. We really enjoyed the ocho dos dos burger with a milder cheese. Margaritas were strong. We WILL be back next year……hopefully.

We had the BEST experience thanks hostess/server, Kee Kee! She greeted us with the happiest, most upbeat attitude and kept that same energy the entire meal. She knew the menu inside and out, gave perfect recommendations, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Her personality is absolutely contagious, and she turned a regular dinner into an amazing experience. Restaurants need more people like her! Highly recommend asking for Kee Kee!

There is enough here to make one believe that the best is yet to come for this place. I agree with another reviewer that the service could use some refinement, but I expect that to improve over time as well(just like my service experience did the longer I was there). Excellent location and atmosphere. My food ranged very average(grilled shrimp), to excellent(chicken lollipops). Nothing was dismal. So I’ll be back sometime to check out more. Mix drinks here are a decidedly above average.

Last week I had the opportunity to wine and dine at Ocho Dos Dos when I went to Del Rio to visit my parents. I was there a few nights (ok every night), so I was able to try different plates and drinks. I was thoroughly impressed with the selection and quality of the food. Definitely enjoyed the escargot with the brie, the steak was cooked perfectly, and I am still dreaming about the bread pudding dessert! My compliments to the chef and shout out to the back of the house.
Cannot say enough amazing things about the drinks I had. First off, as a wine drinker I was so happy to have delectable wine options as I myself prefer dry wines (not sweet). There’s definitely something for everyone. And the cocktails…wow. I was trying hard not to mix my alcohol but honestly they were all so yummy and creative! The bartenders truly know what they’re doing and embrace the art of a cocktail. They’re also all super friendly and will help create something special for you!
Last but not least – the service and hospitality was above and beyond. Everyone was very friendly and I received top notch service. Special thanks to Sydney for taking care of me all week. It was a team effort and I am beyond proud to have this caliber of establishment in my hometown. Thank you Carlos and all of you at Ocho Dos Dos for creating a beautiful experience – it takes a village. Hope to be back around the holidays!

Started off great—friendly vibe, half-price calamari, and decent drinks. Unfortunately, we found a dead FLY in one of the pork belly tacos (which is actually chicharrones). Our server apologized and said everything, including drinks, would be comped. We never asked for everything to be comped- she INSISTED and PERSISTED. We stayed, had two more rounds, but were still charged for the drinks despite what we were told. Disappointing end to what could’ve been a great experience.

Our dinner was great! We didn’t have a reservation, so we ate at the bar. We weren’t expecting the level of service we had. It was great. I think we’ll ask to eat at the bar the next time we’re there. Steaks were tasty and tender.
