You hungry? We’re not asking if you “could eat” because if you’re planning on visiting the Downstairs Deli you’ll need to be motivated because they are going to make you work for it! Check out our first 2 pictures. Do you see ANY signage that leads you to them? They’re need for secrecy is due to the fact that @downstairsdelibreck opened during the Prohibition Period in the United States (not true). Think of them like a speakeasy…but for sandwiches.
You know that you’re in trouble (in a good way) while ordering and you find yourself thinking of ways to order the entire menu. Fortunately it’s not just that the menu names are cool, but the food is actually good as well.
If you do manage to find them, just know that this isn’t a place to hang out for the evening. This is more of a get your sandwich, cram it down your pie hole, and then get the heck out kind of place.

Great sandwiches, but you never know when they’ll be open. Sometimes they close at 3, sometimes its 4 or 5. I wish they’d stay open for dinner.

We loved the sandwiches at this place! My friend and I split the grilled cheese and the BLT. Bread was fresh and ingredients were fresh and tasty. The gal who rang us up and made sandwiches was super sweet. Highly recommend!

Terrible bread. This is not your old Duggan’s Deli. Meat sliced too thick, sandwich not warmed, and the bread was awful. The bread was thick, dry, and just plain awful.
