I can’t speak for the food because I never got to try it. Google showed the restaurant as open and the ordering options recommended ordering through Grubhub or DoorDash. There was no other ordering options. I placed an order, paid, and drove there on my lunch break only to find a locked gate and a closed restaurant. I tried calling, but the voicemail isn’t even set up, so there was no way to reach anyone. Pretty frustrating. Posting this mainly to ask whoever runs the place to update their hours and ordering info so no one else has this experienced. & now I’m hangry. Please update your hours and ordering settings!

Great BBQ and ambience
I was looking for BBQ on my way to where I was going and was so happy I stopped here. Conveniently just off the hwy, but when you’re there you feel like you’re in the country.
For years it has been a roadside trailer/stand but they recently built a permanent building w a large porch that makes you feel you are at home with family. So hospitable, I chatted for a bit with the owner. The food was awesome and came out fast, so glad I decided to stop at this quaint spot.

I ordered fatty brisket, potato salad and lemonade. It’s tough deciding how many stars to give this place. The brisket was perfectly cooked, but the way it was presented after being wrapped could’ve been better. It was tender and moist, but needed more smoke and seasoning. I don’t recall seeing any fat on the edges and no bark. Maybe it had to do with the section they cut from.

The potato salad was good. Nice and mustardy, tasted like a homemade recipe. No complaints at all. The lemonade though tasted like a pre made mix. It was eh.

Maybe the ribs and sausage could help elevate the rating next time. While the prices are great for this quaint little bbq stop, the flavor just isn’t there compared to others. I’m happy to have finally tried this place after passing by all this time.

The sandwich I ate was really good. I should have added more bbq sauce but the meat was tender and toppings were good. I would recommend this place and will definitely be going back. Also I didn’t try it but my buddy said the lemonade was really good

The guy who took my order said the ribs were his favorite. They had very little flavor/ seasoning, and were Luke warm. The brisket was the same. The sauce was good, made everything edible. I placed my order around 2:15pm, maybe I didn’t get the freshest.

Wouldn’t stop by here for anything. Pretty run down, the meats are not what they used to be and the ambiance is depressing.
No seating inside, cold or hot is outside behind a plastic enclosing kinda thing.

The BBQ brisket was dry and not flavorful. The ribs were undercooked. Perhaps it’s the cooking style with no smokiness.

Fair price on the brisket and was very good and tender. Definitely will stop when in town. Owner operated with pride and experience.

It was my first time here…my first impression was how kind the man and woman that work there were. I got the 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs. Both were delicious and full of flavor, the ribs fell right off the bone. They even threw in a sample of the sausage, which tasted fantastic. I’ll be back!!

Don’t like to give negative reviews to small businesses but calling this smoked BBQ in Texas is blasphemy and owners need to step up. In our group we ordered BBQ sandwiches, ribs, and sliced brisket meals.
The BBQ sandwich was just a notch above Manwich, what you may expect from sporting concession stand.
The brisket was absolutely insulting. This had to be oven baked using liquid smoke. There was no bark at all but soggy edges. The brisket was super dry with no marbling. Reviews below saying this is tender can get exact same results by simply buying a whole brisket and leave it in oven at 175 for 16 hours. But in Texas we expect wood smoked.
The Ribs were just as terrible. Clearly oven baked with zero flavoring.
The sides of beans and potato salad I would guess are Costco brand or gallons of Hill Country Fare.

The food was so bad, none of us ate more than a couple bites and we threw all of our plates completely full in the trash on our way out.
