Save your money and dine elsewhere! Montage name sounds appealing but nothing else was. Tiny portions, poor service, not worth the price. Set meal for 4 cost almost 1K with tips for a Christmas Day meal and we left feeling very disappointed.
Details: Despite prior reservation we were seated in the bar area and not the main dining area. Food tasted Ok but portions were tiny. Pleasant servers provided poor service. Had to ask for refills, had to ask for condiments several times from 2 different servers. Condiments and refills finally arrived when our meal was almost over. The dining space was nothing special. Overall, a disappointing experience.

My husband and I came here not really knowing what to expect, but we were blown away!
The building/atmosphere is incredible. The trees are all lit up outside, the dining area is stunning, the view is spectacular, and that’s all before we even get to the food itself.
Our server (shout out to Lindsey!) was phenomenal. She took great care of us – checking in frequently and ensuring our experience was top tier.
We ordered the wagyu (A5 and filet mignon) for our main entrees and it was hands down the best steak we have ever eaten. Don’t skip out on the duck appetizer though.
And the DESSERTS.
They have an executive pastry chef and it shows. We had the firepit (creme brulee) and the conifer and both were out of this world fantastic in addition to being works of art.

The french fries were unbelievable. I had the forger burger. It was a tempura fried wild mushroom sandwich. It was incredible and they had gluten-free bread.

Did somebody say buffet? A staple feature of ski resorts, the variability of lunch buffets in DV is pronounced. Stein’s remains the gold standard in terms of food and service; it is also toughest to get into for non-guests. While Apex food offering has been improved greatly over the past several years, it still misses the mark in odd ways. A soft taco bar was a nice idea, and the carnitas was great, but no cheese, sour cream or pico de gallo among the topping options? Nor any tortilla chips? Steins had the full offering earlier in the week. Fruit offering is a joke- melon/strawberry kebabs? And what’s with peanut butter on celery? Where is the cheez whiz and ritz cracker bar? On the plus side, simplification of salad offering – mixed greens that can be dressed by the diner- is an improvement over complicated amalgamations of lettuce nuts fruit vegetables of the past. Also, better labeling regarding allergens would be appropriate.

Apex was my favorite restaurant visit during a week long trip to Park city, Utah. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the restaurant was not overcrowded with tourists . The drive to the location was beautiful and worth taking a bit of time. Highly recommend taking an evening to enjoy this spectacular location, and I will definitely return next time. I find myself in Park city.

Meh, lunch buffet was uninspired in both presentation and offering. The best food being the cold items (I.e. meat cheese and nuts) and noticeable fall off on the food prepared in house. Service for a few drinks was slow, but they were busy. They are able to accommodate larger groups with it nice (we had 6).

The quality of the food has been consistently great year after year, and the selection of both food and beverages is fantastic.

If you’re hoping to grab a drink at the bar, make sure to arrive early as it’s first come, first serve. However, if you prefer table seating, reservations are a must.

Our favorite at Apex is their chicken schnitzel, which has never disappointed. However, on this occasion, I decided to try something new and ordered the prosciutto cotto tartine. It was delicious!

For dessert, I highly recommend the profiterole. It’s humongous and has a rich chocolate flavor that is absolutely decadent.

Overall, I highly recommend Apex Restaurant for lunch. The food is consistently great, the selection is impressive, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Don’t miss out on the chance to try their amazing prosciutto cotto tartine and indulgent profiterole!

Quality food, but was overpriced.

Dined for the Christmas Dinner pre fixe. It was quite tasty, but about 100% marked up for what it was.

For a $225 tasting menu, should be full after…. Not needing room service.

The dishes were artisan and tasty, but the portions were small and it weighed on an otherwise lovely meal.

I came here for a conference and my wife and I were both stunned by the beautiful views. The entire Hotel is majestic and grand. The Apex was no exception.

Wife ordered a turkey club, they made it with gluten free bread for her – she loved their bread. Side was an anchovy Caesar salad which was perfect.

I had an apex burger – it was delicious. I had fries and a pickle as my side.

The restaurant has lots of space inside and outside, as well as a firepit!

Coffee is great too. Wide tea selection.

It’s rare that I go somewhere and it exceeds my expectations. From the outstanding service to the incredible food, Apex hits all the senses. The sommelier gave a second to none recommendation to compliment the delectable Wagyu beef and there are no words to describe the desserts… I will come back to Deer Valley just to experience Apex again.
