Rox City Grill is located in the historic Hotel Baker along the Fox River. A small intimate lounge open Wednesday thru Saturday offering small bites, extensive martini list and live entertainment starting at 730pm.- 1100pm.
Parking is street parking which could be a challenge but there is a lot not too far away.
We came on a Saturday night around 930pm. It wasn’t too crowded . The server brought us a drink menu but not a good menu. Not sure when the kitchen closes.
They had a piano player the night we went but he took a break at 945pm and didn’t start playing again till after 1030pm. This was disappointing.
Drinks were very good and not over priced.
They do list their entertainment on their Web site.
For a delightful experience, give the ROX a try.

Food is terrible. Wife ordered Key lime pie. They decided, even though it wasnt thawed, to serve her a rock hard cryogenically frozen piece. Couldnt even chip off a piece. Baker hotel needs something new in there.

We dined there on New Year’s Eve. Wish we had gone somewhere else. The four course dinner had no savory components. Every dish was sweet! There were three different desserts for the fourth course, which was way too much considering every other course had sugar in it. The vanilla sponge cake was dry & tasteless, which is probably why they poured coffee caramel sauce over it, but it still begged the question, why? The service was horrible. We would have been able to leave over an hour earlier than we finally did, but it took 45 minutes to get the last course & another 20 to get the server to bring our check. It wasn’t that busy at the time we dined, having booked a table for 5:30pm. For a special event, it wasn’t.

The martini’s here will give you the worst hangover of your life. Totally worth it. The pomegranate one is delicious. The pianist was great and the staff was wonderful.

Came in for some drinks with a buddy after a long day. Delicious drinks with friendly service. Ozzie was our bartender and his service towards us was great. I liked the atmosphere with a live jazz band in the background. I will be coming back!

Definitely surprised! We were wanting something new and decided to try this place out. I’m always a bit cautious of places inside of hotels, even cute boutique hotels. The decor was nice, the staff was prompt, and the food was great. Very cozy.

Do not bother trying. The atmosphere & decor was nice, but anything positive about the place ends there. The service was poor at best, our waitress forgot about us several times. They were out of 3 things that we wanted to try from their already limited menu. The food was inept in all aspects! My significant other decided to give their Lobster Bisque a try, there was no lobster in it & is was a bland puree.
Recommend going to Cooper’s Hawk or any where except this place! Very pricey!

One of the finest restaurants to dine in all of St. Charles. They have the best steaks in town where you can’t get anywhere else. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is very cool and entertaining. They have musicians performing on the weekends that make the place come alive throughout the night. Just an overall great time with friends.
Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to catch up on drinks or even have dinner.

We came on Saturday night. We had a goat cheese appetizer and the Sea Bass with crab cakes. Both were excellent. The server was great and the live music was perfect. He played all of the favs. Very enjoyable in every way. And Joe is not just a server but a friend to all who enter.

My wife and I went here for our date night. I called and asked to have a rose on the table for my wife. Joe made it happen. The food was great, service was great, drinks were great too. Nothing bad to say about this place. Very quaint and a great place to have a private dinner for 2 or a group.
