Make sure to snag a reservation and leave plenty of time to enjoy the whole experience! 20% Gratuity is already included, and it allows the meal to be enjoyed at the pace is was designed to be and allows the staff to give exceptional service! Serena is the best! Most days the Chef, Angelina, is out on the floor greeting customers and enhancing the meal. Mesa winds is a labor of love and a true farm to table meal that is not to be missed!
Let’s get to the important stuff: the food. Wow. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a meal this much in years! Every item we had the pleasure of experiencing was either freshly picked that day from their farm, or from other local farms (such as goat cheese from Western Culture Farm). Their wines were amazing — I suggest the Viognier, it’s one of the best I’ve had. Their bruschetta with peaches, tomatoes, cucumbers and olives has become my new favorite food. The colors and flavors in them just blew me away. I haven’t had such flavorful produce in the US before, and it was such a treat. And, everything they grow is organic! The corn chowder was heavenly — just the right blend of sweetness from the corn; it was so flavorful, creamy, and satisfying without feeling heavy. The homemade soda was amazing too — it was basil cucumber, and somehow it was sweet, refreshing, and the flavors were just perfect. The chef’s masterful skill at bringing flavors together is a reason to visit all on its own! Dessert was a peach semifreddo (if I remember the term correctly) and it was pure heaven! The delightful lady who was serving us described it like eating a frozen cloud, and she was totally right. I loved all the textures in it, and the flavors the chef brought together with the peaches in it! Wow!
In fact, my husband and I loved it so much that we went right back the next day for brunch, and ordered the same foods. I’m usually all about variety, but I couldn’t imagine eating anything else after the perfection we experienced! We purchased a produce box from them too, and they generously loaded us up with all sorts of amazing goodies that I’ve been using at home ever since. They’ve spoiled us for food anywhere else! Having their produce for our ingredients takes all my recipes to a new level; you can feel all the love that went into growing them.
TLDR: This may be the best food you eat in your whole life, and you will feel so good being nurtured by things that are so healthy, beautiful, and unbelievably delicious. The food presentation and the view around you are works of art. The wine is absolutely delightful too! It’s worth the drive from our home in Golden just for this one spot. If for some tragic reason you haven’t been here yet and experienced their magic, change that right now.
