Hop and Chops is an absolute gem! The food was delightfully made and bursting with freshness in every bite. You can really tell they put care into every dish. First visit. Craving a good burger. Had the Blue Burger with a glass of Imperial Stout. Both excellent. You going to pay more here than at a Fast Food burger joint. Arguably, you getting a better burger for the money. Restaurant located inside a former Ice House. Also the Backstory Brewery is located in the same building. Recommend visiting. Interesting sinks and urinals made of old beer kegs. Kind of the circle of life here. Beer comes out of a keg and you put it back into a keg.

Highly recommend coming here! Excellent service, great food, and their brewery on site has great choices. They’re crafting their own liquor and we can’t wait to try it! Family friendly, great outdoor area, perfect menu. My steak was perfectly done. Marissa and management helped us out and this was our favorite meal in Sulphur Springs!

We stopped here for a couple drinks and some dinner on our way through Texas. Overall a pretty cool place. Our food was excellent (I do wish the steak in the y’allfredo was cooked less) and the mixed drinks are awesome. The only negative really was the beer. Just not very good, tbh

The Spinach Artichoke dip used a beer cheese, perhaps; it was yellow. Traditionally, it’s a white cheese, and it was very salty. The salad had a lot of blue cheese and was served in a warm bowl. The dining chairs were very uncomfortable (deck chairs), and the music was really low, barely audible. Our server was okay and seemed new. The salad, appetizer, and side had way too many dehydrated fried onions on them. The Shells and Cheese side wasn’t that good. Again, there were a lot of fried dehydrated onions all over it. The shells stuck together and stacked together, and the cheese sauce didn’t have a lot of flavor and didn’t stick to the shells (it was thin).
We ordered the filet mignon medium rare, and it was cooked correctly and had a lot of flavor. The crust was a little salty for us. We spent about $120 for two people sharing the meal. I had a flight of beer and my wife had water.

We stopped here for my birthday lunch. We’d never been here before and wanted to try something new. We were not disappointed! The food is absolutely delicious. I had their burger special, and I’ve never had a burger so good! The server was so friendly, the restaurant is gorgeous and the entire experience was just awesome. I tried their Paper Chase IPA, THE FLAVOR! It was so good. This will definitely become a regular stop.

My son and I stopped in for lunch today and were blown away by both the food and service. Austin waited on us and was cheerful, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was delicious, coconut shrimp for starters, bacon wrapped meatloaf and a fries, shaves beef, egg and gravy dish, so good. My son had a complimentary beer and really enjoyed it. We highly recommend Texas Hops & Chops! I’ve had the lobster once and that great, looking forward to scallops and halibut.

The New York strip steak is the best one I have had in Texas. The garlic butter went perfectly with it. The fries and Bleu Burger were also great. We enjoyed the fried pickled okra, as well. Don’t skip dessert…the s’mores tart is awesome ! Service was friendly, accommodating to a request, and professional.
