We’ve been to Shabu King five times already, and it’s consistently excellent. The food is fresh, flavorful, and always high quality, but what really makes this place stand out is the service.

Our waitress Nurail has been amazing every visit — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring about the experience. She makes sure everything is perfect and explains the menu clearly, which makes the whole shabu-shabu experience even better.

If you’re looking for great hot pot / shabu-shabu in Dublin, CA, this place is a must. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and we’ll definitely keep coming back.

Had lunch here for the first time and liked the variety of booths and meats available for you. They have self pickup for various items as well. Will definitely go again.

Honestly, the food was really disappointing overall.
The meat had no flavor, and it was plated so poorly that it looked completely unappetizing. There was more meat than what’s shown in the photos, but the way it was thrown onto the plate made it worse.

The most shocking part was the ssamjang. For a Korean restaurant, this was unbelievable. It honestly felt like no one even tasted it before serving.

The crab was another big issue. It had a sharp, chemical like smell that immediately hit my nose. It honestly smelled like it had been washed with detergent or some kind of cleaner, which was extremely concerning.

The tteokbokki was also terrible. I understand it may be premade and overcooked, but the flavor itself was just wrong.

The Rice wrap smelled old…

I’d seriously recommend changing ingredient suppliers.

If you care about cleaning of spoons or bawls, bringing your own because the auto washing won’t make it clean. When I talked to owner, he didn’t even want to hear. Those stain I need to clean them by myself even though I replaced another set

If you’re a hot pot lover and find yourself near Dublin, CA, Shabu King is a must-visit! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is casual and welcoming. The space is clean, modern, and perfect whether you’re dining solo, with a date, or with a group of friends. Each person gets their own individual pot, which makes the experience feel personalized and fun.

What really stands out is the quality and variety. You choose your broth (I went with the miso highly recommend), and then load up on super fresh veggies, thinly sliced meats, seafood, and noodles. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. They also have an amazing sauce bar where you can build your perfect dipping combo think garlic, scallions, sesame, chili oil, and more.

The staff is super friendly and attentive they take time to explain how everything works if you’re new, and they constantly check in to make sure you have everything you need. It feels like they genuinely care about making your experience a good one.

And the best part? Unlimited rice, noodles, and soft serve ice cream at the end. It’s honestly such a great deal for what you get.

Shabu King is one of the best hot pot spots I’ve tried in the Bay Area. Great food, good energy, and kind people I’ll definitely be back!

This is an All You Can Eat Japanese Hotpot! The broth was delicious! I got the Tonkotsu Broth. The soup was tasty, but I added some crab and shrimp to enhance the flavor. They also have kimchi and sweet radish cubes that I love. For dessert, we had the fried sesame balls which came out hot and delicious!

Great attentive service from the staff. A great variety of delicious add-ons from the buffet bar. Great selection of sauces as well.
The meat was fresh! I would come back again when I’m in the area!

The food was great. It’s a hot pot. So you choose your base broth and then it’s all you can eat. So then you choose your protein and add your veggies.

Probably the best AYCE hot pot place in the East bay/tri-valley in terms of price point, value, and variety.

It’s ok. The interior has seen better days. The food is what you would expect of a buffet. The broths are simple and don’t add much depth to the food.

If you’re looking to eat a lot this is a great option. The staff is very welcoming and almost eage to bring additional meats. The pricing does jump on the weekends though so be aware.

Probably the best if not one of the better all you can eat asian hot pot style place for miles, we drove 35 minutes to get here. Usually a smallish wait to get seated. Seating for small and large groups. Great base soup options, especially spicy miso. Great meats and sides to order, and great sauce options for dipping or added flavors. Also Great non-meat ingredient options (except fish ball options, just one there) where it fell to 4 stars was service. Now we know it was a busy weekday after new years, but long waits, and inattentive servers, wrong things brought. To be fair things like more base soup arrived quickly, everything else was slow and often not what we asked for. Here is the important question, would we drive that far again to this place? 100% yes, next time we all get a chance to go on a week day to their excellent lunch menu special, yes we will. This was our 3rd trip here. All the other hot pot aspects where totally worth it and we hope for better service and not worn out staff making excuses. I don’t want to dissuade anyone from going, just know it may be 5 stars, or at worst 4 stars, but the food is worth it either way. Dinner and weekend is also excellent dining for hot pot, just a little more expensive, but includes more and often better ingredient, appetizers and meat options. Also this place has a definite Korean flavor spin, but still has the asian classics too. So when hungry, and love soups and food and spicy options, then this is a great place in this area. Thanks.
