We came here for lunch many times over the years after “the real Pete” sold his place in Fresno. There was no comparison between the old Pete on Piccadilly and that one on Shaw and Marks. 2.5 years later we are visiting and thought we go to Maws which the real Pete name after his wife on Herndon in Clovis. Now it has his name again, but it’s not the same. The steak taste cheap not like steak and the sauce is congealed. The chicken wasn’t chopped like Pete chopped it. Too much fat in the chicken. No tempura sauce was offered. We had to throw most of it away. Only the steamed rice was edible. We won’t be back

Traditionally, Pete’s Terriyaki is an institution in Frasno. Their Marks/Shaw location has been there for decades. I was so pumped to see they opened a location in Clovis. When they first opened, I think the food quality was better. Tonight, we did takeout and was pretty disappointed. The white meat chicken was so dry, it was like a bad Thanksgiving turkey. Our other dish was the Soecial Fried Chicken, which is the best! Even saying that, tonight it seemed very subpar. They usually apply a fair amount of Terriyaki to the meat, but there was hardly any. The ramakin of Terriyaki sauce that came with it seemed almost jello like. It was not liquid. Could jiggle like jelly. The sticky rice was great and so was the tempura vegetables. Give it a shot.

I have bought food from here via doordash but I won’t be ordering again after visiting this place in person. Me and my friend felt unwelcomed. we were given cold teriyaki sauce with our meal. I asked if it’s routine to give dine in guest cold teriyaki sauce. They said yes and offered to warm it up. I did not hear any other guest ask for their sauce to be warmed up…

My first and last time coming here. Tempura was not fresh, actually worst Tempura I’ve ever had. Some pieces of chicken were dry some were rubbery. The food made me sick. I think none of it was fresh just reheated. And to top it off it was expensive. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

This place is nice. The bowl I tried was the skinless chicken teriyaki thighs. I do want to try the fish and some other entrees … but what I tried was delicious. It looked very clean and the young lady was super friendly. I was curious about the cucumbers but for $0.50 for 2 slices of marinated cucumbers was strange. It should be free. However, I’d come here again!

We ordered the beef combo: medium. And these guys gave us a medium rare.. all pink!!!! We called to let them know the meat was horrible done, and Angelina said we will give you the refund. Then 5 min later, they called us back saying to take the meat to them right now 7:20pm ( 12/07/24- foggy and cold- I haven’t eaten). Or to save it n a container!!! To take it to them on MONDAY!!!!!! Aaah!! Two days later!!!! We live in the Bluffs area, and they are making drive to take their food Not cooked properly!!! I hope people read this!! And this is how LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS kill the vibe of wanting TO SUPPORT THEM. probably I will never get an answer!! Why do they want the meat back??? Are they going to re sale it?? To someone who asks for a medium rare??? Hhhmmmm??? Good luck!!

Decided to stop by on a whim, I was hungry and it was the first place I saw. I’m not from the area so I didn’t know what to expect. I got the chicken teriyaki plate with white rice and tempura veggies. Location was small but clean, service was good. The girl that took my order was very friendly and the food came out fast hot and fresh. It was delicious . My plate came out to about 20 bucks with a drink and extra side of sauce . I thought it was a little pricy until I realized the portions were big. It was enough for two meals. I left happy and full. Will return if I’m in the area again.

OMG, it has come to Clovis. Pete’s Teriayki has a new location in the Target/Best Buy shopping center. On the side of PetSMart. The store front does not have the sign up yet. It’s the old mah’s Teriaki location. We went in, and the food is as we remember from the Fresno location. Today was its grand opening. It’s a must visit.

We used to love this place when it was Mah’s teriyaki. Not anymore. It only took one meal for me to decide that I’ll never return. Worst tempura I’ve ever had in my entire life. I’m looking forward to whatever moves in after they’re gone. Sorry.

I truly adore this place! Their food is so good, they have large portion sizes, and the staff are always friendly. My personal favorites are their beef teriyaki, the special fried chicken, and the chicken bowl. My dad is a fan of their pork teriyaki. Their teriyaki sauce is thicker, more like a glaze which me and my family prefer. I have ordered take out from here quite regularly and will continue to do so.
