I was very disappointed with our experience here. Upon arriving and looking at all the flavors they had to offer I realized the display case was a mess with gelato all over. We should have turned around and left but our little ones were really excited and I was doing my best to not come off as stuck up. It wasn’t necessarily a horrible experience but one we don’t wish to have again. Our server did not wear gloves when scooping out the gelato. It was hot inside where the small space with tables was, so we decided to go outside and eat. My husband’s scoop of gelato was really gross looking and tasting. It had a stringy looking texture and it tasted old like it had been sitting for a while. The same taste and texture you get when you find the box of Ice cream in your freezer you had forgotten about but decide to eat some anyway and regret it. The trash can outside was a mess, it looked like it never gets wiped down and makes you not want to touch it. We did appreciate our servers patience with all of our orders and even though he had a group of his friends there he still did his job. However, we will not be going back!

This guy makes the best burritos around! He’s also very friendly, I always make sure to get food or ice cream and a quick conversation before I head into work. Would highly recommend if you want a quick and delicious meal!

Visiting the area and stopped here for excellent lunch! Highly recommend their sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and ice cream. He was very nice, patio was pleasant with plenty of space for my service dog to lay out, and as an immunocompromised person, I greatly appreciate that this place still uses masks! Thank you for a great experience!

Since moving to Los Alamos all I heard about was breakfast burritos. After much deliberation and trying the various “you gotta try” spots. I will say this is HANDS DOWN the best. Best quality for price, flavor, quantity. You will not be disappointed! (I love the Christmas Chili)

What a superb sandwich shop! I’m from Chicagoland and this is as good as anything there. Outstanding hot or cold menu, plus they’ll make-to-order almost any sammie you want (fave = Reuben w/extra kraut). Gelato is smooth, rich, and homemade (fave = coconut almond). Fair value, friendly, safe, and sanitary service and pick up. Stay local and get Dan’s for your next lunch or gelato treat – help keep this hometown gem open so I can keep eating here!

Incredible breakfast burritos, both tasty and big! And the owner is incredibly nice too. We had steak and chorizo burritos – some red and others with Christmas chile. He seared the outside of the tortilla which was a nice touch. Outstanding!!!

Food was great, a bit pricey but great. Would have been 5 stars but the concept of calling ahead for a sandwich seems odd. This concept would seem to push away new customers that walk in for the first time, which was the case for my coworker. Seems they get plenty of business, perhaps they should try shifting away from call aheads.

The flavors of gelato seem to change fairly often but we’ve yet to try one we don’t like. My daughter loves to come here and I don’t blame her…. friendly staff, generous tasting, locally owned, and super quick service all adds up to two happy customers

We like to eat both lunch and gelato here. The owner really seems to care about the customer, and he does his best to provide a pleasant experience. The last 2 times however, the owner was not there, and the service was bad and the place was dirty. The food areas (salad bar and gelato area) had food particles all around them. My gelato SAMPLE even had a chunk of something foreign in it (like a piece of meat). I hate to give a bad review of a place we tend to enjoy, but if the owner is not there, we will probably not stop, next time.

Smelled delicious when we walked in, but the guy at the counter told us it would be an hour wait. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant. We apparently have to call in our order if we don’t want to wait a ridiculous amount of time. I have never been to a business that doesn’t try to put priority on customers in the actual restaurant. Definitely turned me off to trying this place again.
