Listen, I really liked this place. The lady up front was super kind to us even though we were all teenagers. She didn’t seemed to get annoyed for taking a second to see what we wanted and she helped us find everything we needed. The food was very good, and the price for the food was very reasonable. Idk what all these other reviews are talking about, but sometimes taking the initiative to be kind is someone is all you need.

Although I have enjoyed eating here on 8/8/2024 I saw the owners true colors. He always seemed tired or frustrated however his daughter is sweet so we kinda overlook him slamming things around when it’s busy. Today I walked in with two WHITE men in front of me. I am a African American woman. He immediately let me know he had 3 orders ahead of me. The men in front said, oh we can come back, he said no, I was talking to the lady. We were the only people in the restaurant. I called him to let him know. I patronize that restaurant at least 3 times a week for two years but I guess my brown skin and money aren’t good enough.

Absolutely amazing, my husband really knows how to pick restaurants y’all so I wasn’t surprised much but man oh man this place was incredible. Food was phenomenal place was just overall outstanding! Owner is a sweetheart too, so that’s the cherry on top! You have to go try this place if not you’re missing out!

I read a lot of negative reviews that make this place seem racist… So as a white man walking in with a black wife & 3 mixed kids, I was skeptical…. We were treated very nicely.. Food was prepared very quickly & was spot on.. The prices were extremely reasonable compared to every where else we ate at downtown… as someone who has worked in the food industry most of my life, I can tell this is a true “Mom & Pop Shop” that know & count on their regulars.. & I respect that….

Great place for quick and affordable breakfast and lunch downtown, especially while working at the office. My favorites are the sausage and cheese croissant at breakfast (the best croissant ever) and the chili and cheese hot dog at lunch! Awesome value, and always friendly service!

Oh, how I wish I could leave 0 stars. Where do I begin? Discriminatory Behavior From Owners: I was wearing a Jewish Star of David Necklace and believe I was a victim of discriminatory behavior and bias. I stopped into Figgy’s from out of town. I was the only person in line, and there was one other customer in the shop at the time of arrival. I went to order at the front, and the lady (larger set woman with blonde hair) completely ignored me for 5-10 min while talking to the customer who clearly she knew, she then waddled over to me, did not ask for my order, did not greet me or acknowledge me. I said Hi and started my order – she immediately became bothered and disturbed, shaking her head and made comments of how I was an annoyance for ordering food?, half way through me ordering she just walked away and started bad mouthing me to the cook, I could hear everything they were saying, she then waddled back over to me and I continued my order, she stops me and said “You know youre going to have to step aside, all of these people only get 20 minutes for their lunch break” referring to the people who just walked in 1 minute ago. I asked her if she was going to take the people behind me’s orders before mine, she rudely said “no, he’s making your food… next time you need to call ahead.. you need to wait over there”. I let her know there would not be a next time as I have never been treated so poorly by customer service in my life. How are they in business? I then waited in my car because of how rude she was, came back in, she had my food ready but instead of nicely handing the bags to me, she slammed them onto the silverware, did not give me any silverware or napkins, and mumbled at me to grab only 3 bags of chips (My meal came with 6 bags). I watched how she treated me differently than the customers she personally knew – as she greeted them, politely handed their food to them, while she threw my food on the table, didn’t inform me it was mine, and didn’t make eye contact. Maybe if I didn’t wear my Jewish Star of David necklace, my experience would have been better? I am going to report these people to the BBB! They are a disgrace – and the food sucked. Do better, Figgy’s.
