Magnolias at the Ritz is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the ambience sets the perfect tone—elegant yet welcoming. I can’t say enough about their shrimp tacos—easily the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared every time. And the broccoli salad is my favorite side! My kids enjoy the macaroni and cheese.
The owner truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel valued, and the wait staff is consistently attentive, friendly, and professional. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the service, but Magnolias does it effortlessly.
Whether you’re out for a casual lunch or Sunday brunch, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!
Our main dishes arrived 30 minutes after that. We ordered French toast with fries and grits, and chicken and waffles with a broccoli salad. I specifically asked the waitress if the broccoli salad had any pork, like bacon. She said no and even confirmed with the cook.
Well, the food was a disaster. The French toast was soggy. There was a hair in the grits. The chicken and waffles were both cold, but the plate was extremely hot—clearly microwaved. And worst of all, the broccoli salad did have bacon in it, despite my religious dietary restriction which I mentioned clearly.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, made even worse by the fact that it was supposed to be a special day. Definitely won’t be returning.
I never could have imagined having the kind of salad I had known as the Mandarin Orange. It was, divine! The chicken was exquisitely seasoned, the pecans and cranberries perfect with endive, spinach and romaine greens which were crisp and fresh to the last bite.
My husband had the pork chop and eggs. We both agreed it was the very best pork chop we had ever put in our mouths. Ever. That’s quite a statement considering both of us are Southern born and have never left the South and have enjoyed the finest in all things Southern when it comes to food for a lifetime. This pork chop was swimming in white, sausage gravy and was so tender it didn’t need a knife to cut it. Imagine that!
It is my fervent hope for this restaurant that it’s reputation reaches to the four corners of our nation. Whether you live in West Point, are Southern or not; this place is worth whatever effort it takes to get there to try their magnificent food.
Magnolia’s@ the Ritz is all that’s excellent about what we offer in the glorious South! Go there!
