This place is a true gem! Each time we come in we are greeted with the smells of Italy and a friendly how you doing from Joanne.
Each of the pizzas and dishes are fantastic. I love the fresh garlic they use. It is actual big chunks of it. The hot peppers are spicy and flavorful. I love the crust. Chewy and a little crispy.
They are doing a lot right here including the freshly made cookies and pastries. Chef makes them all.

An update 8-21-2020
I stopped in today for a pizza, it was so good, it brought back memories of eating pizza in New York. The cheese has the chewy, stringy quality that I like on my pizza. I also bought a creme filled, flaky pastry. It’s a dessert big enough to share.
Great Italian food! If you like Italian food this is the place to visit. I used to live in New York City and remember the great Italian restaurants that were located there. When Chef Rosario’s opened in town I was very excited. Walking in, I felt like I was back in a New York Italian restaurant. The aroma of food cooking was so pleasing. I love the food, the pizza is very good, not like big chain pizzas. The pastries are also very good. I am glad they came to Ball Ground.

The pizza is awesome! It actually tastes like true New York Pizza. My complaints are about service. The website says they close at 7:30, but when you call, they say they close at 7. The big complaint is If you call 15 min. before close, they tell you their closed! Its happened a few times now. I hate calling that late before closing, but I usually call after leaving work and 3 times now they’ve told me they were closed around 6:40 – 6:50. If you like eating early and don’t work late, I highly recommend, just keep in mind they really close more like 6:30 – 6:45.

Cruising around on motorcycles, and decided to try the pizza in this place. One word: AWESOME. Our choice was canadian bacon and meatballs for toppings. Now, normally a pizza with meatball toppings puts small little meatballs on the pie. Not so at Chef Rosario’s !! The meatballs were made fresh that day, they are quite large, and then they are sliced thin for pizza topping. Absolutely delicious. This was a pleasant surprise in Ball Ground, GA. I will be sure to cruise back there and have a repeat pizza.

Best Italian in North Georgia and I’ve been looking for decades. We split the chicken Parmesan it was perfect. The sauce is to die for. And we took home several desserts for later. Everything is made in house. It’s self serve and the owners are wonderful! A must eat!

I’m so happy there is not only an Italian place in Ball Ground…. But the food is fantastic! I might say the pizza is very reminiscent of Brooklyn pizza….I highly recommend this place. The people that own it are a family and are always here, they are friendly and hilarious!

Customer service could be much better. We were on our way to Jasper and thought it would be nice to stop in cute little Ball Ground on our way and have some pizza. It was just before 7 o’clock. We go in and the cook tells us they close at at 7 and asks us what we want ..
He says he doesn’t have much.. Um.. okay. We would like pizza. Duh. It was just a large cheese and a small cheese. Nothing fancy. They seemed annoyed. The lady that took our order was super rude too. Rolled her eyes when we asked for napkins because we had to go eat it outside on the benches. They literally turned the lights off right after they took our order and told us it would only be 8 minutes and not to go far. This was at 6:48.. 8 minutes to finish our order would still be before closing time at 7.. I just don’t get it. So rude. I would not go here. Just keep driving.

Everything is outstanding! An authentic Italian meal. The lasagna melts in your mouth. One bite of pizza and you’ll never go anywhere else. It’s tucked away in Ballground, GA but worth the drive.

Omg! Soooo good! We ate a large pepperoni pizza and enjoyed two cookies (chocolate chip and a peanut butter cookie) everything was absolutely delicious. Restaurant was super clean and all the tables and chairs were clean. We will most definitely be returning!
