Exceptional! I don’t know how it took us so long to find this little gem over the hill but everything was spectacular – from each of our group’s eight entrees (although the tiger shrimp with chimichurri appetizer was the best of all) down to the iced tea (yes, the iced tea!) we could not have loved it more.
The wine was lovely (and exceedingly well priced) and although we didn’t order beer, their selection knocked our socks off (from Abita Amber to Institution Ale).
This restaurant is a true gem.

We tried Sheila’s wine bar for the 1st time today. Great drinks, very good food and fantastic service. I am not a wine drinker but love a cocktail with dinner so I was happy that they have a full bar in addition to wine. We will be back.

I went here for the first time for lunch on Wednesday with a large group of friends. Two of our group highly recommended Sheila’s so we decided to try it. Fantastic decision!! Our server was prompt, professional, and personable. Upscale but relaxed atmosphere. Excellent menu choices. The food was outstanding, the portions very generous, and the prices quite reasonable. I did hear that dinner is a bit more expensive, which makes sense but whatever the difference in cost, it is definitely worth it. We will absolutely be back.

AMAZING!!! I’ll start with the food, WOW!! We started with the Smoked duck, fig jam, arugula crostini. The duck was perfectly smoked. The combo between smoky, salty and sweet was divine. We ordered off the specials menu because Chef Ivan cooks with seasonal items. So whatever is currently growing is what he creates with. So whatever on specials is guaranteed to be there the next time you come in. That being said I ordered the pork chop on a bed of creamy garlic Parmesan polenta, side of charred broccolini on top of puréed carrots. I can’t begin to explain how thrilled I was with my choice!! Pork chop was cooked perfectly. Super juicy and tender. My hubby ordered the halibut with roasted potatoes and vegetables. The fish was also cooked perfectly and literally flaked away from itself. The sauces and all the cohesive flavors in all these dishes really showed Chef Ivan and his crew’s talents!! We were so stuffed that we couldn’t indulge in any of their yummy deserts but we had just enough room for a decaf affogato. We CANNOT WAIT to go back. Now we have to talk about the staff. What an amazing group of people!!! It was such a pleasure to have met Pablo and Bertha (the owners) which also happen to be Chef Ivan’s parents. A family affair, which is very important for us to support. They all give you the feeling of being part of the family. Very embracing group of people. The kind you would want to go back to over and over again! The way they took the time to explain to us the importance of having organic produce, local farm products, and ethically sourced proteins was beyond important for us! We as a family try very hard to find restaurants that serve healthy thoughtful dishes! What a gift to find a place that cares about what they cook and serve to the public. What a gem to have discovered this place. We have seen this place before but never gave it a chance thinking it was solely a wine bar. We are not drinkers so we thought this place wouldn’t suit us. Boy were we wrong this whole time!! This is an upscale family restaurant that has a huge variety of wines. I’m bummed it took us this long to figure it out! Comparing food, this place blows Mastro’s out of the water 100 % From now on this will be the restaurant I would recommend to anyone looking for amazing food, date night, anniversary, special gathering, holidays ect. Truly a hidden DIAMOND in Camarillo! Looking forward to the next time❣️

It was a Thursday night around 6:30 pm, and the place had only 2-3 tables filled. The atmosphere was romantic with soft lighting; however, if there was soft music, at the end of the night, it was quiet, awkward, and you knew your stay was over. You can hear the children at the other tables and adults conversing over wine.
I was really excited about the food, but it didn’t leave me with a memorable meal. Although the flavors were decent, the fish was a bit overcooked, coconut sauce was watery, and duck was on a bed of flavorless mush. The wine selection was great, and recommendations from the waiter were spot on.
Overall, it was a splurge meal, and at these plate prices, it didn’t leave me wanting more.

The service is always great and the food, no matter what, is always freshly made and delicious. The atmosphere is a bit upper scale but not too fancy, and more of an adult dining experience. We have been going to Sheila’s well over 10 years now, and have never been disappointed. The tuna tar tar is my favorite and their specials are always fun to try!

I tried some Cajun alfredo from this place and once I’d eaten a decent deal of it I started to feel a bit nauseous. I thought I was just full or something, but I gave it a few hours and now my guts feel like they’re exploding and dissolving. I threw up in my own mouth, and I feel like throwing up again as I write this review.

Really great ambiance and food. A bit pricey but expected since you are supporting a local business.

Sheila’s is THE epitome of fine dining in Camarillo! Celebrated my Compadres’ anniversary there, and it was top-notch. Impeccable service, mouthwatering appetizers, and a dinner that left us in awe. Absolutely, we’ll be back for more!
