Place was so clean and so nicely decorated and the chef himself introduced himself to us and told us about the restaurant.
PLEASE DO YOURSELF THE FAVOR AND COME HERE!!
This spot pays homage to New Orleans’ rich culinary culture with bold, hearty dishes inspired by the city’s diverse food traditions. Everything is cooked to order with no large batching, and there’s a strong emphasis on quality, freshness, and inclusivity.
Expect classic po’boys served on authentic Leidenheimer French bread flown in from New Orleans, including crispy shrimp, blackened fish, and the iconic roast beef po’boy. The menu also features jambalaya, Creole salads with your choice of protein, and a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
No New Orleans experience is complete without hot beignets, generously dusted with powdered sugar.
Unfortunately, the beignets were a bit disappointing—they seemed slightly overcooked and tough, especially considering the price of $7 for small portions. On the other hand, I enjoyed the bread pudding; it had the perfect balance of sweetness to satisfy my cravings that day!
As for the service, it left something to be desired. While the owner or manager was friendly and seemed inviting, I noticed they were selective in greeting and interacting with customers, and unfortunately, I was overlooked during both visits. I visited twice hoping for a different experience, but encountered the same both times. During my second visit, the staff behind the counter seemed more cheerful and engaged, which made for a better atmosphere.
Overall, it’s a nice spot that adds variety to the neighborhood, especially with their flavorful Oyster Po’ Boy and enjoyable bread pudding. While the service and atmosphere had some inconsistencies, I’m hopeful that my next visit will be even better—after all, they say the third time’s the charm!
From the catfish nuggets to the breakfast po boy to the French toast dessert.
Will be coming back to try more items
We will most certainly be back!
This place has the vibe and the flavors of Nola cuisine locked up. I grabbed a half and half poboy, some catfish nuggets and a slice of bread pudding. Let me tell you.. the flavors took me right back to Bourbon Street.
The seafood was well seasoned and properly fried – not greasy but just right. And the bread pudding was excellent. I will definitely be coming back soon.
