A nice authentic asian restuarant in the heart of downtown davis. The food is quite good, and the noodle ‘hotpot’ dishes are pretty solid.

I really like a dish they have- the spicy squid dish. I don’t think I’ve found another place that makes it that good- and is generous with the quantity! Definitely give it a try, if you like squid/kalamari.

The other dishes are good- their katsu chicken is solid. The drinks are average- there are better options out there, but good for convenience.

My only gripe is the space and the comfort of the seating. It’s not very spacious and the noise can get a bit loud too. But if you are ordering to-go it’s not an issue, and if you are patient, you will get the table.

The service is really good- and the waiting time is average, depending on how busy it can get. But if you are really crazy the taiwanese noodle cuisine- the quality elsewhere in Davis (or Sac) is hard to beat! Enjoy

Great spot to grab Taiwanese food! Their braised pork over rice is so good and you can’t go wrong pairing it with any of the meats. My personal favorite is the chicken cutlet. Dont forget to order appetizers like their refreshing pickled cucumber or their wonderfully seasoned popcorn chicken. They also have a variety of flavors for their drinks and they’re all very refreshing. They even have the viral Dubai Chocolate Strawberry on the weekends! Good amount of seating, friendly service and chill vibes! Worth a visit!

I like the servers and the ambiance is younger and bright, but it can take a while to get food. This type of Chinese food isn’t as common in Davis so it’s more busy, but if you’re not into this, not worth coming back.

More a place for snacks, drinks, or maybe rice plates than a meal or soup.

Spicy soup and braised beef had too much of an earthy flavor, would not get these again.

I really like Honey D Cafe, it reminds me of the food back in Taiwan. The douhua is decent, not the best I’ve had, but still really good. Same with the Chinese beef roll, tasty and comforting. It’s also one of the only places around here that sells this kind of Taiwanese food, which I really appreciate. Feels nice to have a spot like this nearby!

Tasty food that’s reasonably priced! The popcorn chicken was crispy, not greasy, and has the right amount of flavoring. The Taiwanese style mince pork rice plate came with pickles, marinated egg, and veggies, which I appreciated. Tasty tea lattes also, though I wish they had an oat milk option for lactose intolerant folks.

We originally had plans for dinner elsewhere, but the wait time there was too long. After walking around downtown for a bit, we came across this place. I saw a sign saying “Braised Pork”, which I am a huge sucker for. To my surprise, the portion was generous, with the chicken cutlet and braised pork being tender and juicy for the price. I’m not big on boba tea, but if you are, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it here along with one of their meal choices.

You must try the House Special Spicy Noodle if you like spicy food. And don’t miss the dessert of shaving icee silky tofu and some other toppings.
Well, I feel disappointed in the return visit. Tried other food, and definitely, I lost my luck. It tasted bad and was more expensive. Just be careful about what you ordered.
Here is the food I totally not suggested at all: Combo herbal jelly, Lao niang beef stew mix mien (no flavor on the noodle), mushroom meatball soup (it was missed the spirit part, tasteless and very expensive)

This was a perfect hole in the wall experience. I had the veggie combination noodle soup. The broth was perfection. Serving size was large. So yummy. We also shared scallion pancakes, pickled cucumber salad and teas with boba. While the food was outstanding, the star is the wall art/slogans.

I came here the other night and the food was good. However the way how they put all the food was not properly done. All the pudding and fruit they put in the outside fridge and when I ordered my pudding, the lady came out and grab a frozen fruit put in on the top. Which it shocked me somehow. But the food was good, other than the pudding upset my stomach. Will take a look at the store in the future

We got the Taiwanese style fried chicken and pork rice plus the spicy beef rice noodle soup. The rice was very authentic and reminded me of restaurants in Taiwan! We got the noodle soup in regular spice, but it was a tad bit spicy even for my friend that regularly eats shin ramen. I would suggest getting small/mild spice if you’re not super confident in your spice tolerance.
