Social Profile:

The Allen’s all started with our blueberry farm in a little old town called Grand Junction, where we have been farming for 45 years. Our little farm then expanded to a fruit market in the towns of Martin and Otsego Michigan where we have had the privilege of our fruit market to be opened for 18 years. Our customers have become family and our community has continued to support us. Now we have decided to expand our fresh produce into fresh baked goods. Everything we bake is home made from old family recipes.

I was passing through town and ordered breakfast to go along with my family. Chorizo skillet was delicious!! The plain hot coffee was served in a cold plastic drink cup which was odd. Cinnamon rolls were lightly heated up and enjoyed shortly after. Rolls were just ok.

We had a nice time visiting! We planned to pop in for a quick lunch, we ordered a burger, salad and chicken tenders. It took about 45 min to an hour for our food to come. For a slow-ish Wednesday afternoon and the quality of the food that felt a bit long. The food was yummy, if we’re in the area again we’d like to come back.

I didn’t get any pictures because we started eating right away, but we ordered the biscuits and gravy and thr traditional breakfast.
Everythjng came out quick and hot. Biscuits were fresh and the gravy had a lot of flavor. The homestyle potatoes had great seasoning.
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean and warm.

This is the best breakfast place around. Went to try a different place in town and we were quickly reminded why we love Allen’s and ended up there instead! Affordable home cooked meals and great staff! We have never left Allen’s hungry or disappointed. Kim puts all the love in her food!

Very nice service. I had the biscuits and gravy with added eggs. My husband had the turkey wrap. Everything was fresh, and the biscuits and flat bread freshly baked. Well worth the wait and price we paid. We will go back. We added a cinnamon roll to go.

A small, family owned eatery where just about everything on the menu is hand-made and fresh!

I ordered the Chicken Tenders entree, which comes with 4 hand-breaded and fried chicken tenderloin pieces and a side. I opted for their basic fries, which came out tasting like a favorite of mine – classic county-fair fries.

Service was pleasant and friendly, and I was happy to support a local joint. They serve breakfast all day as well, and next time, I’ll give that a try!

I love that this business is locally owned by a hardworking family. The food is farm to table and has unique flavor. However, I wish there were more options for people with dietary restrictions.
Also, please do something about the flies that seemed to be everywhere. It’s very unsettling and uncomfortable to eat while being bombarded by flies. Insects should be winding down in the fall.
