Ordered a few times for delivery and pickup. Delivery is great, always on time and if not, always before expected. Personal favorite pizzas I’d recommend are the Potato Pie, Grandma Pizza, and the Chicken Caesar Pizza. All are delicious and these impressed my friends and I very much, sauce is very flavorful, and the crust is cooked just right, not too crispy but also not too floppy. Last time I was there I picked up an Avocado Chicken Panini, and a J Blue Panini, which were both very delicious. I’m a big fan of the Blueberry sauce on the J blue, it surprised me! Currently a big fan of the pastas, you cannot go wrong with any of them like the Pollo Monte Carlo, Chicken Cacciatore, Penne Alla Vodka, etc. Fair prices too, and all of the staff are very friendly and kind too, 5/5 MUST TRY, it surprised me being my new spot!

The pizza is absolutely horrible! The crust is thin to the point where you can’t even hold it. Time for a new Chef because the one making the food can’t make a pizza! I was better off getting Red Barons frozen pizza.

I needed to leave a review for the past few times I’ve eaten here because of how great this place is! I’ve been trying to find a great local pizzeria and restaurant in town, and I’m sure I found my favorite spot. I usually call to pickup salads, paninis, and wraps whenever my sister and I go to the beach, and they’ve always been ready on time! The salads here are great, with lots of choices and unique blends! My sister and I had a Cobb Salad and Antipasto Salad, which were both really good! Chicken on the Cobb Salad was tender and not dry which was really good, and my sisters Antipasto salad was really good too! Both salads were full to the top of the container and we were impressed with the portions! You really get a bang for your buck here. I had the Avocado Burger Wrap, and my sister had the SJ Burger Wrap, both delicious and a combination we’ve never had before anywhere else. Pizza is great too, just last night we had family over from Maine and called delivery for 2 large pies, the Florentine and Penne Alla Vodka Pie, as well as a medium House Special. Driver was respectful and friendly and arrived a little sooner than expected, so all pies were hot and fresh! The sauce is very tasty, and the crust was cooked just right. Needless to say, I’m very impressed and will definitely be calling again soon!

I’ve been to Benny J’s several times now and it’s definitely become one of my go-to spots in Branford. The food has consistently been flavorful, hot, and fresh; they have definitely made some big progress! Wide variety of salads, pizzas, subs and pastas. Out of the numerous restaurants I’ve been to throughout the shoreline, I’ve got to give it to Benny J’s with their pastas, salads, and pizzas. Specifically, I’d recommend the Penne alla Vodka, Fettuccini Primavera, Ravioli, and both Eggplant Parm and Chicken Parm dinners. I loved the Greek Mango salad and Summer California Salad as well. Delivery is quick too, food arrived hot and in a timely manner. Staff are friendly, kind, and respectful!

I had no idea this gem was here!! We really wanted mozzarella sticks and they had them!! They have great tomato sauce, very bright flavor, very fresh!!
We were not sure how the sandwiches would be but I am so glad we got them!! Best bread!! I got the eggplant pesto focaccia and my family got the orange chicken. The Eggplant was nice and tender! I didn’t expect orange slices on a chicken cutlet but we really enjoyed it!! Roasted red peppers seemed fresh & were perfect on both sandwiches and THE BREAD!! the focaccia bread is fantastic!! Fluffy and slightly crispy with some rosemary on it!! Sandwiches were warm but not over toasted or burnt like some focaccia sandwiches I have had at other establishments.
I am so happy we stopped in here and will be back for the pizza!! Give them a try!

Truly a hidden gem! The other week, my family and I came here for dinner and I’ve got to say we were impressed, Benny J’s has earned a new customer. We started off with the fried calamari, capresa with prosciutto, and an order of wings. They arrived quickly, not only hot and fresh but also delicious! For our main course, my wife got the gnocchi bolognese, I had the shrimp scampi, and our kids had the veal cutlet parm and chicken parm dinner. All dinners came with a side salad and garlic bread. Our dinners were excellent. Not only was our food probably one of the best in town in terms of taste, freshness, and quality, but the staff were also nice and accommodating. For desert my wife had the cheesecake, and again, delicious. From this moment onward we began to order our pizzas and pasta dinners for delivery from this establishment whenever we’d have family get-togethers too. Delivery is great, drivers are always nice, respectful, and quick! Food also arrives hot. Yesterday for example, we ordered a large penne alla vodka pizza, and a small half sausage half meatball pie. Pizza arrived within 45 minutes, and the driver was kind and friendly. Overall a big step up, if I could give more stars I would! Definitely recommend.

This used to be my favorite place to get pizza and the price justified it. But lately 3 of ny orders have been bad. I always ordered medium and it used to be bigger and a bit thicker but still thin. Now the medium looks like small and it’s sooo thing u cant even pick it up to eat. The toppings used to be really good and not missed out on but now they put more veggies than meat.
Since I know it’ll be really thin now I asked for it to me well done so it can be harder but when I all I got was soggy pizza.
Idk if someone else is making the pizza now but it’s too different.
I wouldn’t recommend. Medium is small.

Nowadays, as we all know, everything is stupid expensive. So since that is a given, I can only feel that I was not robbed if I receive a product that is worth these exorbitant prices. Benny J’s Pizza is such an excellent restaurant that when I get food from there I feel like I Won! The food is absolutely delicious & I’ve had sandwiches, pizza, calzones, salad & def more! Every single thing I’ve ordered from Benny J’s has been excellent! Never once was my order the least bit shy of perfect. On top of the great quality of the food, Benny J’s also gives you portions that end up being TWO big meals! And, somehow, the food is just as good the 2nd time! I highly recommend Benny J’s, if you couldn’t already tell ! Worth every penny, every time!
