Arrived on a Friday evening right after opening and it filled up quick! Shabu Zone is an excellent choice for hot pot lovers. The buffet offers a wide variety of options, from fresh vegetables and noodles to quality meats and seafood, making it easy to customize every meal. The ingredients are always fresh and well stocked, which really enhances the overall experience.

The broths are flavorful and rich, with plenty of choices to suit different tastes—whether you prefer something mild or bold and spicy. We had sukiyaki & tom yum. Both were phenomenal! Everything is clearly labeled and easy to access, and the staff does a great job keeping the buffet clean and organized throughout service. Service was very helpful and polite throughout the experience.

Cleanliness really stands out here. The dining area, buffet stations, and tables are consistently tidy, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Overall, Shabu Zone delivers great variety, quality ingredients, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for a satisfying hot pot experience!

Federal Way was in dire need of a new shabu place and Shabu Zone seems to be the answer. It’s a sister store from the one in Texas and from talking to the servers the owner is from here which makes sense. Thank you!

First off it’s super clean and well made and gives you a solid Korean-esque vibe which we loved and appreciated. Food was top notch, and the sauces are so good! The spicy ponzu! Is the move.

Service was on point and the ice cream was better than what we expected whenever a restaurant says they got free ice cream.

Long story short. Federal way has a ton of places that offer all you can Korean bbq for the similar price of shabu zone. The lunch special pricing is good and if you really for the funds, then dinner will be good too. Try it.

Shabu Zone is a new hot pot spot that recently opened, so I had to check it out. I did the all-you-can-eat option, which gives you access to all the ingredients at the buffet bar. You get to pick your own broth and then cook everything as you go.

They had a good variety of ingredients, and if you’re a seafood lover, there are plenty of options to choose from. They also had the typical meats you’d expect for hot pot, along with higher-end options like Wagyu that you can order through your server. There was a wide selection of vegetables and noodles, although I didn’t notice any quail eggs. They had lots of banchan though!

The sauces were all really flavorful. I’d recommend getting the spicy ponzu. Overall, it was a good first experience. The place is huge, but since it’s new, there may be some wait time before getting seated. If you like Kpop they have a huge screen that plays all the bangers lol

Last week I went to visit my sister in Tacoma and I got to see the nice area and to eat at a few nice places. Before leaving the state, we visited this very nice and modern Shabu style buffet in Federal Way. This seems to be a new restaurant, nice and bright in a big shopping center with plenty places to park.
The price compares to CA is a little high $42 per person, but it includes boba drinks, ice cream with all the trimmings for desserts, perfect for my kids.
The servers are attentive and pleasant but one has to take care of quite a few tables without the high tech digital pad of some kind to record orders of many different kinds of meats. Still using pen and note pads and he did forget our orders. Other places have servers and people who bring food to the tables, but this one the servers do both jobs, a little hard on the servers.
The are quite a few types of meats but even with this price, no my favorite briskets, except some types of beef pot belly.
Anyhow, the seafood bar, vegetable bar do have many selections in par with other Shabu restaurants in CA.
There’s no appetizers like fried chicken.
The meat cuts are thicker than other places and not as frozen, tender and good. There are many sauces to choose from so if you mix a good one, the food will be excellent. This place has Tong Ho veggie that I like.
The broth has flat flavor, so we have to add our own sauce to make it tasty.
The desserts and drink bar are great if you have room after the meats meal.
It seems like there’s no competition here in federal way, sometimes to have a nice dinner with a price a little steep is OK.
It was a hearty meal before getting on the plane back to the nice sunny California it was raining dogs and cats here. Booking for Golf the day after.

We decided to try this place out and it didn’t disappoint! The place is big, bright and clean. They have this big screen that plays Kpop music videos which really appealed to my girls. Now, That’s a good first impression.
The staff here are very friendly, attentive and polite. We got seated right away and was also checked on regularly for water and meat orders.
We came in for dinner which was $41/ person. They have an appetizer station, make your own sauce station , slushie and Thai tea station- and you can add Boba! Of course there’s also a station where you can get all the seafoods and noodles! And when I say seafoods , they have a great selection like oysters, squids, shrimps and even blue crabs! Like wow!
We all ordered different broths which was also very tasty! They have a lot of option by the way.
My favorite part is the meat selection. They serve wagyu here guys!
And if you’re not full with all of that goodness, they also have an ice cream station, and you can add your own toppings to it! We really enjoyed our experience here and will definitely be back again.

As someone who tried this place in Houston, I’m glad we have something like this in Washington and near Seattle. The place is huge, serve was great just like in Texas. Everything was the same but for those who never been, they have a large selection of seafood, veggies, and carbs. They also have slushies and ice cream for dessert. Pricing is reasonable. The mala was spicy even though I was told it was 0/5 spicy. I wish they had Tomato broth in general or sukiyaki broth in stock. I highly recommend and would come back!

Soft opening today. The place looks like it belongs in a Bellevue highrise, but all you can eat shabu shabu for Federal Way price. Variety of broths and big selection of fresh meats they bring as you order. Heard lots of the ingredients are organic and were very fresh. Don’t forget to try Korean beverages: misootgaru( slightly sweet multigrain drink) and sikhye (sweet rice drink). For all the burning mouths from spicy, there are also several choices of ice creams.

Shabu Zone is a restaurant that offers a unique buffet experience, especially for lovers of Asian cuisine. The shabu-shabu concept, where diners cook their own meat and vegetables in steaming broths, makes it an interactive and fun option.

The ambiance is welcoming and well-designed, making every visit a pleasure. The service is exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who are always willing to help. The quality of the food stands out, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious ingredients. From high-quality meats to diverse vegetables and sauces, there’s something for everyone.

Overall, if you’re looking for a place to enjoy a delicious and fun meal, Shabu Zone is an excellent choice. I would definitely recommend it!

Finally tried this new spot!

First Impressions: Super clean, spacious, and surprisingly chill for dinner time. If you hate too crowded places, go now while it’s still a hidden gem. Ideally setup for birthdays or family gatherings

How it works :
– Meats: Served directly to your table by the waiters (Service is 10/10, very fast!)
– Sides: Seafood, veggies, bakso, and sauces are buffet style

Heads Up : The quality is great, but it comes with a premium price tag . Definitely a ‘splurge’ kind of place rather than a weekly hangout. Worth a visit for the experience!”
