Nestled in a tropical garden area, the plants, orchids and fountains are so beautiful and captivating that you will want to spend hours in this little piece of paradise. The cool breeze and shade surround you while you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Caribbean and 90’s music sets the tone for a fun and funky time at this restaurant. The ambiance at Chez Bamboo is bright and the decor is one of a kind. While each table is elegantly set with fine linens, the walls are decorated in bright colors, twinkling lights and striking murals as well as neon lit palm trees.

The food was okay. Every plate was full of flavor and clearly made with care, from the fresh seafood to the creative specials. You can taste the love in the cooking. The cocktails were spot-on too—tropical, strong, and perfect for a night under the island stars.
What truly makes Chez Bamboo special is the energy. It feels like a gathering place—locals, travelers, great music, and friendly staff who treat you like an old friend. Whether you’re coming for dinner, drinks, or late-night fun, it has a heartbeat all its own.
By the end of the night, we weren’t just full—we were happy. Chez Bamboo isn’t just a restaurant… it’s an experience, a vibe, a little slice of BVI soul.
If you’re visiting the island, make sure you spend an evening here. You’ll leave smiling and already planning your return.
All in all would go again for the pleasant experience and walkable distance from shore, not the food in particular.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO BUSINESS
Thank you very much. We will surely come back and I will update accordingly. Have a great day!
Mojito (the blue drink pictured) had no fresh mint and taste like toothpaste (mint liquor). I understand there can be produce procurement issues on the island but the substitution was not suitable. Not to mention it was expensive ($18). Better to not offer a drink you cannot make.
They have 3 separate menus: dinner, “Asian menu”, and specials menu. I feel having this many options is a red flag for any restaurant. Better to stick to a smaller menu and do a few dishes better. Instead, they had a lot of mediocre/bad dishes.
