Tried a new place today and became lifetime diners. Walking in there is a calm atmosphere and delicious aromas that taunt you. Our server was very welcoming and knowledgeable of all the menu items. I ordered the lasagna colognes and my son ordered the Udon and we tried the goat cheese and bread for an appetizer. Hands down this is the BEST goat cheese I have ever had! It is bursting with flavor and is perfect paired with the bread. The first bite of lasagna made my soul happy. Each layer brimming with flavor and the texture was spot on. My son’s Udon was no disappointment either. He said it was in the top 2 best he has ever had. I tried a Mosow Mule and then I tried another because they use quality liquor and I was in heaven at the full flavor. Best to date. In conclusion, this is my new favorite place to eat in Lawrence. Every aspect of our dining experience was top notch and the staff are in my top 2 for friendliness and knowledge. I give Fork & Tumbler a 10/10 and highly recommend going as soon as possible.

We dined in last Saturday night. They are open Thursday through Saturday 5pm – 9pm. When we arrived people were outside waiting for the doors to open. (good sign). We sat at the bar, met a nice couple who had been in before and they raved about the great food. We ordered the Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms and Fried Brussels. They were delicious and plentiful so much so we shared our shareable with our new acquaintances. They shared their tender fried chicken sandwich and Chinese Donuts with us. For dinner I had the Meatballs and my husband had the Lasagna and again the portions were large. The lasagna is about 11 layers of delectable meat and sauce, the meatballs XL and very flavorful. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks made by Rob, while we were watching the action in the kitchen led by Walt. Our food was outstanding and everyone was so welcoming , just a friendly vibe from everyone there. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Because of the road construction in the area, I called at 5:00 p.m. to specifically confirm the kitchen hours. The gentleman who answered the phone assured me the kitchen was open until 9:00 p.m.
We arrived at 8:35 p.m. and noticed the door listed closing time as 10:00 p.m., so we assumed we were still within the window to grab a late dinner. Unfortunately, we were turned away at the door and told the kitchen was already closed. I explained to the young lady who greeted us that I had called earlier and was told the kitchen was open until 9:00, but there was no explanation or apology—just a quick dismissal.
It’s disappointing to waste a trip, especially after calling ahead to confirm. I’ve run restaurants for years, and unpredictable hours or closing early will quickly kill any hope of building a late-night crowd—not to mention the tips that come with it. In my experience, late-night guests are often some of the best tippers of the day.
I also have to agree with other reviews that mention tension between the front and back of house—it certainly felt that way in this interaction.
If the kitchen closes early or hours change, it would be helpful to communicate that clearly to both staff and guests. Otherwise, situations like this leave a poor first impression before someone even has the chance to try the food or drinks.

This place is so adorable and the food is outstanding! We went on a Thursday night at about 5:30 p.m. So there was still light outside that came in the windows but I’m sure when it’s dark out that it is dim and romantic. The food was absolutely out of this world and the service was better than we could have imagined. Multiple people came over to see how our experience was going and the server was perfection.

But the real star of the show? The food! When our entrees arrived, the entire table was in awe—every dish looked incredible. My **Thai Peanut Shrimp Undo** was absolutely delicious, and I couldn’t resist sneaking bites from my friends’ and family’s plates (everything was that good!).

Addendum: we went to F&T again last week. I had the shrimp udon – the best peanut sauce I’ve ever had. My wife had a Surly Sour from the cocktail menu and she said it was fabulous. I retract my comment about the cocktails.

This place has such a great vibe and is beautifully decorated. The owner/Bartender/manager? Rob is the coolest guy! Portions are ginormous and so so good. We didn’t have one single bad thing and tried a bunch of items. I’m going to be thinking about that berry lemonade cocktail for months to come until we can make it back to Lawrence. 10/10 all around!

We ordered the Fire Roasted Korean BBQ Sticky Ribs with rice and The Burger, and both were phenomenal. The ribs were packed with bold flavor, perfectly cooked, and had just the right balance of smoky, sweet, and savory. The Burger was equally impressive—juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. We cannot forget the fries…simply unforgettable! You can really taste the difference in the freshness and care put into every dish.
The cocktails were delicious, and the peach bourbon cheesecake was next level—rich, decadent, and the perfect way to end the meal.
Our server, Sam, made the entire experience even better. He was attentive, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and gave spot-on recommendations.

We came here for date night and the atmosphere was really chill and our server was Sam and he was very attentive and knowledgeable. The portions are huge. We had the goat cheese shareable and the Thia peanut Shrimp and both were amazing. Everything came out fast. The place was very clean and all staff was very nice. We will definitely be back!!
