I came to visit Indiana and, as a Mexican, I can confidently say these tacos have the real, authentic flavor I grew up with. Even after returning to Mexico, I still can’t stop craving the barriga, enchilada, and pastor tacos—they’re absolutely insane, and the salsas are on another level
I can’t wait to visit Indianapolis again, and I really hope the East side location is already open by then. More people need to experience tacos like these!!

THE FOOD IS TOP NOTCH! The tacos had whole strips of meat,the seasoning was confident and fresh! The pineapple torta was such a balance of flavors it literally had me drooling for my next bite! The need an air conditioner but other than that it’s worth every penny! The artstyle alone is worth coming here it’s a feast for the eyes and the stomach!!!

We visited the restaurant at around 1:00 pm on a Monday to grab lunch. I had three tacos – Asada (fried beef), Suadero (brisket), and Pork Belly – and a horchata. The portion size was very generous – the meats were literally flowing out of tortillas. Horchata was good – it had a lot of cinnamon and wasn’t overly sweet. I was glad I had ordered it because I needed it after eating the red hot salsa to soothe my tongue. My Texan husband had a torta al pastor (sandwich with sliced pork shoulder). He said it was one of the best he has had in a long time. David was very friendly and helpful. He patiently answered all our questions. We didn’t get a chance to talk with the other chef but he seemed busy keeping the kitchen clean while David made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommended.

This taco right here? Absolute perfection. I’ve eaten tacos all over the country, and Taqueria El Barrigon just set a new gold standard. The meat is flavorful and perfectly cooked, the fresh cilantro and diced onions add the perfect crunch and brightness, and the squeeze of lime brings it all together in the best way possible.
Everything is clearly made with care and authenticity. The balance of flavors, the freshness of the ingredients, and the generous portions—this taco didn’t just meet expectations, it crushed them. Without a doubt, the best tacos I’ve ever had. I’ll be talking about this place for a long time.

Carnitas tacos very juicy, tortas Caprichosa amazing, Jamaica fresh water on point. Was blown away by the quality and savory flavors of everything.
Highly recommend it to everyone who loves Mexican food, especially the tacos.

Absolutely AMAZING service with AMAZING tacos. David was SO friendly and welcoming and took his time explaining house specials to us before personally cooking with the other gentleman at the grill. Every taco we had was DELICIOUS. Restaurant was clean, simple, and bright. Cannot recommend this place enough!
