Continue to be impressed with the great food and friendly service here. Today I have a wonderful buffalo chicken wrap. Full of flavorful sauce, melted cheese, and moist grilled chicken. A winner! It’s nearly impossible for me to get anything other than their awesome pizza, but I ventured away today and it was delicious! Super friendly server, nice clean tabletop. Salt and pepper shakers were a bit dirty, as happens in restaurants; could use some attention. Plenty of parking for lunchtime. Food came out quickly and was hot; perfect. Their homemade chips are crunchy awesomeness!!! And they come with dipping sauce! Score!

Pepperoni Pizza was tasty. The garlic knots are to die for. My cheese pizza was so good! I took some home and even got coupons on my togo box for next time. Service was outstanding.

I absolutely love Johnny’s Pizza. I’ve eaten a variety of different pizzas & tried the buffalo chicken tenders. Everything is great really! My favorite appetizer is the Greek salad. It’s great for the family to share. Customer service is awesome and you feel like more than just another customer here. Definitely recommend this over any other pizza joints in the area.

We came here in hopes for the familiar New York style, brick oven pizza. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

The first sign there was a problem was when we sat for 10 minutes before seeing our server to get drink orders and it was another 5 minutes or so before they were brought to the table.

We ordered garlic knots and a large pizza. The garlic knots were undercooked and doughy. Then the pizza came out. The crust was soggy, greasy and undercooked. The toppings were so thick and overwhelming that you couldn’t even tell if the pizza had any sauce.

I have worked in the food industry and I understand that things like this happen. The truly unfortunate part is what follows:

We waited for over 20 minutes and I finally had to get up and find a staff member to come to our table. She, in turns, had the young lady who was assigned to us come over. We explained to her the problem with the garlic knots earlier and now the pizza. We even offered an explanation for her…that perhaps the oven was not cooking consistently. She then tells us that the oven had been worked on yesterday and the owner just came in so she would see what he would want to do. What he did was unacceptable in so many ways. In the midst of Coronavirus, when most places are asking us to social distance, use disposable cutlery and online menus to reduce contact or risk to their customers. Johnny’s offered online menus. They used a potent cleaner on each table to sterilize them. But the owner took our pizza, that we had touched and pulled pieces off and had become cold and put it back into the communal brick over to “recook it” to save a few dollars instead of doing the right thing and remaking the order. The waitress brought it back to us and said it “should be better now” and that the owner took the garlic knots off “since you didn’t like them”. The problem with this method was that the bottom was now cooked and the toppings reheated but the middle part still had a doughy, chewy with an unappetizing texture and it tasted horrible. I hoped to speak with our server about it but the only time she returned to the table was to give us the $28 bill (two drinks and large pizza) with the garlic knots taken off. Another 10-15 minutes passed and when she finally returned to collect payment. I asked to speak to the owner.

This was the final straw in the whole experience. The owner came to our table and asked what the problem was. When we explained our experience, he proceeded to tell us that “some people like the pizza a little undercooked and some like it more crispy.” He said that they make the dough themselves and sometimes there are some inconsistencies. He then lectured us on the fact that this was New York style pizza and maybe we just weren’t used to it cooked in a real brick oven and that brick ovens can be temperamental. Only after I continued to stand my ground that the taste and quality were not acceptable and that the service was non existent, and we had to chase our server down repeatedly, she never cleared the drinks as they were replaced, he begrudgingly said “I’m sorry you feel that you had a bad experience. I will just take the pizza off and you can try a return trip to Johnny’s at another time” and excused himself.

I understand that kitchens have bad days. But I also know that an apologetic and attentive server can redeem an entire meal. And, if they cannot and it requires a manager or, in this case, an owner, the representative shouldn’t make the guest feel like they are wrong and that they just don’t understand how things are done.

In these times where we don’t get out a lot, there have been huge pay cuts and we choose carefully where to spend any extra money…it was an hour and a half of one terrible disappointment after another and they only had 3 or 4 other tables sat I have NEVER EVER walked out of a place so frustrated that I didn’t leave any tip at all. But, today was a first.

If you are craving pizza, you would be better off cooking a frozen pizza at home rather than eating here. Very sad…

Updated: Somebody from Johnny’s replied to this reaching out to me, asked me to send them an email, said they would reach out to the store owner and I have not heard a thing. reducing this rating to 1 star for them making the illusion of care and service.

Definitely not worth the price. At $2-3 per topping, I would expect more than what they gave me on this $23 large pizza. Only the inner 8″ of the pizza had toppings. It was supposed to be 1/2 banana pepper and they only sprinkled a tiny bit on about 1/3. Partner’s is way better.

First time ordering. Food was warm/hot. Some more than others. Pizza was good, not your typical store made pizza, but you pay for that. Good amount of toppings. Fried pickles were good, but I think whoever made the dipping cup, wasn’t paying attention…very little. Child’s ravioli was good. Garlic bread was actually soggy…..no crisp at all. Wanted to give 4 stars….
