We went during breakfast where you seat yourself and order at the counter. We sat at the bar and had such a good time. The salted maple latte was impeccable and I already can’t wait for my next one!
The market is stocked with fresh items from Lake Roots, and their freezer section features goodies from local Crystal Lake businesses! I foresee this being our new “spot” and we can’t wait to come back!
The patio is heated for the winter time and there’s a nice outdoor area with yard games as well! Summer is going to be a blast here!
I normally ask for less sweet lattes & mochas when ordering those types of drinks. Via other reviews of their drinks being weak/somewhat flavorless, I ordered a regular salty/maple latte. It was tasty & not overly sweet to me, so I’m guessing, they may seem less flavorful for others. I also had Avocado toast & added an egg to it. Not much avocado (but plenty of pickled onion), flavor was good though. I also bought a few goodies from the little pantry like store to go, I have not yet eaten any of it. The experience seemed a bit pricey, like most everything these days. I will return.
Food was tasty but lacking enough Avocado = 4 stars
Staff/Service was friendly & welcoming = 5 stars
The place is new & clean, however not being a bar person and the seating area being in an open bar like environment (yes I`m being critical here, but just honest opinion and information) is the reason for 4 stars.
Went back again with daughter & grandson. I ordered the breakfast bowl. It was ok but expensive for the size & salted/maple latte again, it was good once again.
Daughter ordered Avocado toast. When I warned her there isn’t really much avocado on it, she asked for extra (& i paid for extra) avocado. She also ordered a pineapple/mango smoothie. AGAIN VERY LITTLE avocado (even asking & paying for extra). She also did not care for all the pickled onion, nor flavor of it, said it tasted greasy. How PATHETIC, especially with the prices here. She said smoothie was good.
Grandson ordered cinnamon roll french toast & apple juice. He drank the apple juice but didn’t care for the french toast.
I will SLOW down on going there again now, even though I enjoyed the latte.
