We eat here occasionally and when the food is good, it’s great. Other times, not so much.
Went to dinner tonight and we were excited to see the new menu with new items. The Chicken Alfredo needed more seasoning and chicken was over cooked, almost dry. My daughter and husband’s meals came about 5 minutes before my lasagna (which was BARELY warm in the center), the kitchen needs to work on timing. Portions are VERY generous.
This is a newer family business and is still going through growing pains, but the owners are very involved and in the restaurant most days.

I had great expectations, considering the restaurant had been under renovation for so long. First, the food. I ordered mango habenero wings with loaded fries. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich. The saucy chicken sandwich was like a foot long sub. It was huge so a lot of food for the price. It was good. The loaded fries were good. The fries were not at all crunchy, but considering they were topped with cheese, Jalapeños, and bacon, it was ok. The wings were just ok. I liked how they were crunchy and well cooked, but the sauce tasted like a bottle of Louisiana Hot Sauce. It wasn’t spicy at all, considering habaneros are pretty hot. All I could taste was the vinegar from the hot sauce. The service was good! Very friendly and professional. But the food didn’t come out at the same time. I had finished the loaded fries before my wings came to the table. For two dinners, the cost was $52.
So on to the decor. They wasted all that time and money when it actually looked better when the restaurant was Big Cats. They have a rustic shelf with antique looking items, corrugated tin, wooden floors in the bar area, then this white marble and black sleek, modern tile on the walls. Honestly, I feel like they could have saved all that money they spent on the decor and focused on improving the food. I will go back and try some of the other food. I’m curious to see how the pizza tastes.
Oh….and the glass of draft beer was $8.

Well, they couldn’t keep it up. 3 things I have found worth eating in our 8 visits. Salad, potato skins, and wings. The skill of the kitchen is almost up to the par of McDonald’s.
Food was great on the first night, if they can continue what they are doing. Hold on Lexington, TN. Service was great and on time, given a 4. They weren’t fully educated, but did great.

Ordering take out from here is a hit and miss. I use to get the wings when they first opened, but I had to stop because I have received some fried too hard multiple times. I have ordered salads and have received dressing on them already. You don’t put dressings on Togo salads. I order my salads without onion and multiple times I have still received onions. It’s very aggravating. Photo below of the onions I asked them not to put on my salad. Yeah, they will remake it but who has time to wait for that. I ordered ahead and Togo for a reason.

The food was delicious, the kids had their pizza, and we definitely enjoyed the potato skins and the wings. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent.

Ate lunch here. There was no wait and hardly anyone inside eating. I was seated quickly, and the waitress took my order and brought my drink quickly also. I ordered boneless wings with mild buffalo sauce and fries. I will say that the sauce was delicious. The only issue was that they didn’t use enough of it to even cover all the chicken, much less make it “saucy” like you would expect. The fries were cooked extra crispy and the service was good. Overall, the experience was pretty good, and I’ll definitely give them another try in the future.

Arrived at the restaurant and the buffet had 3 pizzas, a nice salad bar, some lemons… our waitress was very sweet and attentive, however the other lady’s were standing on there phones the whole time. Across the 3 pizzas there were about 8 slices left, we understood, there were 2 other tables and assumed they got most of that round. We decided to get a small plate and set down to wait for more, our waitress assured us that theyd have more out soon. After 45 minutes of waiting they finally pushed out 1 CHEESE/Pepperoni pizza… Overall the pizza was decent, I do wish they where more attentive, overall 2/5 stars.

It’s like they’ve given up. This could be an awesome place. I’m all for supporting local businesses and we tried to give Nick’s every opportunity. We love a good salad bar and we enjoy this on a few times but not anymore. There’s far too many other places to eat. The thing about Nick’s is that it’s an awesome looking place and has the potential to be a great restaurant. Perfect location and very well set up. But it’s almost like someone has stopped trying with regards to the food. This would be a great spot for a good restaurant in Lexington.

They do not even deserve one star. My husband ordered their famous ultimate cheese steak on their famous bread yet they even had their famous bread over week they told us no one wants to make it I ordered their buffet the food was so hard it was unable they refused to discount anything my husband’s cheesesteak came on a hamburger bun it was the nastiest thing he had ever eaten. When we asked if we could get something else or a discount they gave us a 10% discount with equal to $1.20. The waitress were horrible. Worst customer service I have ever had. The food is horrible the service is horrible. The restaurant is dirty. Both toilets were out of order. My granddaughter had no restroom to use. She is 4. This place is a nightmare. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE.
