I’ve been here before, over 5 years ago, and my experience was okay, I guess, because it was fairly new, and I was excited to visit my favorite housewife restaurant.

I’ve heard people criticize the restaurant, but since I was in the area, I decided to dine there again. Finding parking was a little difficult.

Upon entering the building, the hostess was on her phone and stated that someone will seat us shortly. A gentleman then came over and guided us to our table. There were people at two other tables in the restaurant.

The waiter asked us what type of water we wanted, and we got that. He messed up my friend’s water order. We placed our food order and received it about 20 or 30 minutes later. We had to call him over to get our drink orders; this is after we received our food. At that point I didn’t want anything to drink.

The service was slow, as if our waiter was the chef, hostess, and waiter. By the time the food arrived, there was no one else but my friends and I in the restaurant.

We got the shrimp and grits; I’ve had better. The fried chicken meal was great; I would recommend this and the fish. My friend got the georgia peach drink, it was good.

The bathroom was not up to par. It requires renovating. It appears to be in need of renovation. They attempted to improve its appearance by adding a rug to the floor, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful.

In my opinion, the owner cares about this place.

I wouldn’t recommend it, nor do I plan on visiting again.

The Mac and cheese was good. The service was top tier. The atmosphere was fun. Parking was difficult. The food was mid. The greens were bland in my opinion. A few of the guests in my party got mashed potatoes. They were all sent back. The fried green tomatoes weren’t crispy.

There was no host at the stand when we arrived, so we had to just wait around for about 20 minutes because they were doing shift change. Thankfully, when we finally got seated and a waitress, we were satisfied. Everything we had was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised because some reviews I saw were bad. That was not my experience; the food was bomb. Now, they really need to do something about the aesthetic. The place looks neglected. Crooked pictures, dusty, raggedy curtains, a couple employees looked unkempt, etc.

I loved everything about this place but the communication. I go to brunch each month with friends and prior to our outing I reach out to the restaurant to get information about parking, groups, timings, etc. When I tell you this restaurant does not respond to email messages, Instagram messages, Facebook messages, and they don’t answer the phone. There is a contact us option on their website, but they don’t respond to that either. So we basically had to go in blind. I didn’t like that at all. When I arrived, they wouldn’t seat me until everyone in the party arrived. That was fine, but I would have appreciated knowing that prior to getting there. So, we waited for others to arrive all
while the restaurant is getting busier. We were eventually sat, within ten minutes, and our server greeted us at our table within five minutes. I enjoyed my food. Some of the people at our table said their food was too salty and one person had a challenge with her burger. The server gave her a bit of a hard time sending it back; which we didn’t understand but okay. It was like she didn’t want to take the food back, but it was not prepared correctly. The space inside is okay. The decor is nice; pictures of family members on the walls. It was cute. We definitely had space to move around at our table. The people around us were sat a bit close, but it wasn’t horrible. We had no problem at all parking on the street in front of the restaurant, but they also have a lot behind it that you have to pay to get into. If you are driving too fast, you will pass the driveway to turn into the lot. So, drive slowly. I would try them again knowing I need to arrive early to park for free on the street and my entire party needs to be arriving at the same time. The price was not unreasonable either. I spoke with the manager who said she was new at that time. I told her how I tried to reach someone to ask questions and she admitted they do not utilize or check any of the methods I tried. She said they were not accepting phone calls either because they are just too busy.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I read mixed reviews, so I was a little skeptical, but I ended up being pleased with everything we ordered. Our waiter Q was very friendly and charismatic. The fried deviled eggs are amazing, the crab cake was delicious, and the drinks were good and strong. The fried chicken was good and the collard greens and mac & cheese was on point! The restaurant is small and definitely needs a good cleaning. I did not like that dirty dishes were left on a table as soon as you walk in for a very long time. I expected the decor to be better, especially considering the prices are extremely high, too high! I spent $200 on a dinner for 2 that should have been under $100 – and Im from NYC so I’m used to expensive prices. I would definitely recommend.

Was hyped to go there but the parking sucks on Peters St., the service was not great. I think it was not enough staff. The bathroom had no soap and that picture of Todd and Ace looking at you while using the toilet was a little creepy.

Let’s talk about the food…
The food was good. Only thing was it was not piping hot it was a little over room temperature. Lamb Chops was hot. I do want to visit the other location. The food was good tho!

First time in ATL and wanted to try some true southern cuisine. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the fried chicken and deep fried deviled eggs. I would love to give a full 5 stars but unfortunately service is in need of some revamping, along with the interior. The ambiance can use some restructuring to give a more welcoming atmosphere. During arrival we were a bit confused as to what to do or where to sit, as we were not greeted. We were then instructed to sit wherever we wanted. This wouldn’t be an issue if there were signs posted instructing patrons to do so. We did arrive a little after lunch and there were plenty of seats. But overall the food was great and OLG will remain on my list of places to eat when returning to the Atlanta area.

was super excited to try this restaurant knowing the menu was inspired by her family. I entered the restaurant and was immediately greeted by a hostess and seated. After being seated the waiter took about 5 mins to finish up with another customer before I was greeted. I ordered and the food came with not much of a delay. I had baked chicken and it came with two sides and a cornbread muffin. The grilled chicken was well seasoned and good. But my favorite was the Mac and cheese it was the absolute best!!! The corn bread muffin and cabbage were good too. I’m not sure if they have this – but a vegetarian side plate would be a wonderful addition to the menu. The waiter did come check on me while eating to ensure my food was okay. The service was mediocre here but the food was delicious. I’ll come back and sit at a table and see if my experience will be different. Also, gratuity was automatically added.

Kind of disappointed with the food. My first visit years ago, my mac/cheese looked like the picture on the website, not this time. Our French toast was returned twice, appeared to be warmed up several times and served, edges extremely hard. The second batch was burnt and we informed the waiter we did not want another batch, therefore, they did give us a discount. We received our drink in a glass that was chipped on the edge. The chicken was very good, great seasoning and well as the collard greens, even though they tasted like mustard greens.

When we walked in the place, the hostess greeted us promptly. She told us the wait time would be about 10 mins, then said to follow her. She led us to a staircase and told us to go down the stairs but didn’t follow us. Once we descended the stairs, we were in a room that looked like an abandoned room that had not been remodeled since the 70s. As you will see from the pics, the upstairs and downstairs had the same black carpet. The carpet was so nasty that it stuck to my feet when I moved them. We finally ordered our food, and I was not interested in most of the food items, so I decided on the crabcakes. The waiter informed me that it was only one crabcake. We had just gotten in town, so I decided to go ahead and get it because it was a long drive. The crabcake was 14 dollars. The crabcake was good but overpriced. My dinner companions were not happy with they meals either. One thought the food was not enough for the price. The other was only happy with the sweet potatoes. While waiting to be seated, we talked with another family that was sent to the dungeon to wait to be seated. While waiting, the lady needed to go to the restroom. She proceeded to the restroom only to return, saying that she would hold it. The only way a woman will do that is if the bathroom is nasty. We also watched one of the employees sweeping the carpet.
