So I go to get the most delicious Beef Ribs I see on YouTube Reels. Also see a review that says it’s good. Get there and the guy says we have everything BUT the Huge Beef Ribs I was so anxious to try. He says, I like the Baby back rib and steak combo better…. So I agree and order. Long story short… He gives me the some Sorry burnt Steak fat, and slivers of a piece of pork. They should be Absolutely Ashamed……. Worst food I’ve ever had in Las Vegas, or Henderson to be exact.

I got the Sam’s number one special. the beef ribs. 80% fat. Wasn’t expecting that. It was delicious Smokey teriyaki flavor but I didn’t come for fat on a stick. Mac salad had almost no flavor. I’m leaving this review so people that are looking for a full meat rib have proper expectations.

Update – went there yesterday – very friendly, the dole whip was awesome –
the bad – the chicken and steak we ordered were very dry, we couldn’t finish it – the rice was dry, almost bullets – i was very disappointed. I also ordered a couple of beef ribs, almost no meat, one of them had a 1/2 bite of meat and all fat – the last time I had them it was soooo much meat that I couldn’t finish and the chicken, steak and kalbi were soooooo ono!!
I fly into Vegas regularly and don’t usually leave the Hotel, but this is the one place I would venture out to – I was very excited to have food from there, it was over a 100 degrees and we still went.
I don’t think I will be taking the time to go out there, called and only got a half hearted apology – gave them our order numbers but no offer of any concessions – there are too many local places to have your food not be authentic like it was the last few times I have been there.
I think I found a new place to try when in Vegas, sorry Matiki…
Update 2 – went back to try them again – this time was pretty freakin’ ono!! the Kalbi was broke the mouth and the ribs was winna!! Faith has been restored in island cooking, definitely recommend them again!!

I ordered the chicken box which is usually grilled chicken with there house teriyaki sauce. The teriyaki sauce is unique because, unlike other teriyaki sauce, the sauce is very thin in consistency. The portion is usually very good. But this location didn’t seem to have the Kalbi, which one of my colleague was trying to get. Additionally the service was a little bit on the slower side. I remember the one on Jones had really good service. Just an additional recommendation, the owner should attach a door bell to the main entrance as when I was waiting for my food, I observed couple of people who came in and were waiting to place their order as there was no one at the counter.

This was my go to for beef ribs, but the last 2 times I have order the ribs were completely burnt and were mostly fat. There was very little meat on the bones, its depressing. once I thought maybe a fluke but now this has become a consistent thing. I know restaurants are struvling with making food at an accessible price point, but somepoint but cutting back on quality this much forces the customer to go somewhere else.

Make sure to double check your takeout orders. Even though they tie it up really tight, take the time and effort to open it and make sure everything is there. They tend to forget things. They forgot my two musubis. I didn’t realize until I got home. I called them immediately and they offered to give them to me if I came back…it was 107 degrees so I declined to come back. They said they’d refund me…that never happened. Moral of the story – double check your order.
About the food itself: the beef ribs are always delicious. Perfect char and sauce. Just wish there was more meat on the bones. Skip the mac salad here, it’s underwhelming as is the chicken dishes.

I heard about how good their beef ribs were but also saw how many mixed reviews there were on here. I decided to order anyway.
The ribs do have a really good flavor, but they are also very fatty, so if biting into gooey fat isn’t your thing then you should probably pass.
Lots of gristle and not a lot of meat, which is ok, but $20 for 6 ribs like that is a bit steep. The good flavor on them only goes so far.
The real travesty though? Their macaroni salad! How do you mess up macaroni salad?? There’s little chunks of potato in there, which was texturally off-putting alongside the noodles. That I can forgive, but the tastelessness I could not. No salt, no “zing,” nothing. It just tasted like mushy creamy nothingness. Reminded me of having COVID and being unable to taste anything.
While I’m not particularly excited to go back again, I would be open to giving other menu items a chance if I happened to be hungry while near their restaurant again.

This place has saved a life today…. I felt my face begin to contort as the hanger monster began to take over my body. My husband routed us in this direction because he thought the pictures looked great. We were greeted by friendly staff, I couldn’t say a word, I could barely think as my husband began to order… we sat in the corner, just in case I couldn’t keep myself from unleashing the monster… we sat in silence for perhaps 5 minutes as I concentrated listening to the island music trying to remain calm… then at last, the food was presented. With the first bite, I felt the release of the monster and I uttered the words. “ I am so happy, I could cry right now”. We proceeded to devour our entire order… we will absolutely be coming back, this is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants we’ve ever been to.
