10/5 stars. SO GOOD. Their fresh warm tortilla chips, amazing. Their salsa, delicious and spicy! Their meat is so flavorful, makes for amazing tacos. Friendly people, nice atmosphere, smells delicious as soon as you step foot through the door. And 24/7!! Our new favorite spot.

my boyfriend and I ate here last night and he asked for just onion and cilantro on his chicken tacos and they put everything on it I think because there was weird stuff in it and the tortillas were goey. we didn’t knoe till we got home to eat since it was take out, and he didn’t sleep since he got very sick and has been ill throwing up since. do better.

Alright yall hear me out:
I hate spending money on food that doesn’t hit. not this spot. As a Mexican myself, I judge mexican places a little harder. this place was DELICIOUS. the tacos were so fire. meat was 10/10 so much flavor in every bite. the salsa had a nice spice and a great taste. overall i recommend this place. i ate there so im not sure about delivery experience. but take it for me, a young mexican who loves tacos. PS, don’t come for the lack of service. english is the second language so they can be timid. but they’re very nice people. prices aren’t cheap, but what’s cheap nowadays anyways? if you want good quality food, spend your money here. if you want cheap, go find cheap quality. i will come again, thanks amigos!!!

I have never in all my 22 years of life went inside a restaurant and had the server complain about having to work?! I have had tacos el tio#8 at least 6-7 times in the past as this is the only place in the north suburbs that is open late enough after I finish up at lifetime fitness. The only reason I go is on tuesdays with a group of 5 of my friends bringing business at 11:30pm every Tuesday. Today I finally had enough and decided I was going to write a review. I am honestly nervous every time I walk in this establishment because of how we get treated by one particular female server. And as some of these reviews have mentioned this is not a one time thing. Tacos are ok at best and their Tuesday deal is only for one type of meat. This place isn’t worth the abuse you receive from your server. Stay away if you are planning on dining in!

My experience was creatively good with the second waitress. She was so lovely! The food was great. The recommendation she gave us was great, she made us feel like we were at home☺️ her energy is amazing. Great attitude, smiling with every customer she had at that moment. The music was right❤️ im giving one star to the other girl.. she had an attitude the moment we walked in. Didn’t even greet us. We waited for her to come and take our order but she was to busy getting her tips. And boom she was gone.. the girl who had the hello kitty shirt had ask multiple times about an order and the other wasnt answering. I feel like everyone should be able to work together. She should be able to communicate with everyone specially who is cover the next shift. Like hey this table need their food, the other table need their order to be taken. You know.. she was just being rude to the other girl.. she doesnt have a great attitude at all. She wasnt smiling or being nice. she could’ve at least said of she will be taking your order soon but no we had to wait even more.. she was just ready to leave..

Really really good. Had the steak, chicken and al pastor. Fresh, hot and delicious. Guac was super fresh, delicious chips. The green salsa is like level 6 hot so be prepared, but it’s really good. Red is good as well. They sent limes without asking. 24 hours a day? The rest of the taco places better watch out. This is the best taco in downtown Ville.

Okay folks…if you haven’t stopped into tacos el tio make the time to do so. The food is served hot and absolutely delicious. I wish I had taken a photo of my burrito because it was made to perfection. Very well crafted with all the flavors to enjoy. Staff is very friendly and the music perfect for the atmosphere. Steak tacos were delicious and the rice and beans very tasty! This is the hidden gem of Libertyville! Stop in you will not be disappointed! Very well priced.
