The shop looks cool and has a lot of options, but the value just is not there. I paid $22 for the Dubai Chocolate Sundae, and it was basically soft serve vanilla with hot fudge, a little pistachio sauce, and some gritty kulfi. It tasted no different than a McDonald’s hot fudge sundae.

Charging premium prices for very basic ingredients feels like a cash grab. Nothing about it felt special or elevated. I do not mind paying more for quality, but this was overpriced and disappointing. I would not go back.

Loved it here. The lady was so nice. She gave me and my friends four free bags of candy and let us have our own table outside. The candy is phenomenal here I love every single thing they sell. Everything is cheap. Great prices they have Dubai Sundays that taste like heaven on your tongue she’s so sweet and just a kind woman overall definitely would recommend take your kids here now or else

Ice cream chick is quickly becoming my go to place for ice cream. I love that it is all homemade and the flavors are constantly changing. For the first time I picked up two bags of the candy they had for sale. My nieces loved the “sour bubblegum bottles” and I loved the “raspberry lemon” candies. If you are looking for a delicious treats I highly recommend supporting this small business.

The ice cream is solid, I felt it was a bit pricey for what you get. Oddly though, the rating was more about the service. There was a family of maybe 6 ahead of only me and they were tasting flavors which is fine, but instead of the lady asking them to step aside if they wanted to continue trying flavors, they just stood there for practically 40 days and 40 nights. I thought asking them to step aside even if just to ask me “are you ready to order” would have worked for everyone. The store is well-designed and very attractive but again, the prices just seem a tad over the top.

The vegan ice cream at ice cream chick is one of the best vegan treats out there! The raspberry chip blows me away every time I get it! If you’re looking for a great vegan spot, try Ice Cream Chick! It’s worth every penny and although there are limited flavors, they’re all amazing!!! Come try it, you won’t regret it!!!

The ice cream here is definitely good — creamy, flavorful, and above average compared to many other spots in the area. It’s a local place my girlfriend and I like to go to, and we genuinely enjoy trying different flavors. That said, the prices and the tasting policy really dampen the experience.

We recently ordered six mini cups to try a variety — basically one scoop each — and were charged $32 for six scoops. That’s a pretty steep price tag for ice cream that, while good, isn’t exactly the best we’ve ever had. At that price point, you’d expect top-tier service, flexibility, and a lot more than 6 scoops.

What really left a bad taste (pun intended) was the tasting policy. We asked to try a few flavors before ordering, and were told we could only sample one flavor each. That resulted in us ordering a flavor (brown sugar butter) that ended up being totally inedible. Not being allowed to try more than one flavor before spending over $30 on ice cream just feels off — especially when the scoops are already that expensive.

Overall, the ice cream is enjoyable, but this place really needs to reevaluate both their pricing and their tasting policy. We want to love this place, but it makes it hard when the experience leaves you more annoyed than satisfied.
Unfortunately after this experience, I am not sure me and my girlfriend will be back. $32 for 6 scoops just seems ridiculous.

The chocolate covered pickles at ice cream chick are an underrated late night snack! I went in there tonight and the service by the two girls working were incredible, but when I saw they had chocolate covered pickles, my night was made! You have to try them and they are worth every penny!

The ice cream is delightful but the customer service is not that good. The girl at the counter is a bit rude and seems new and doesn’t know the flavors very well.

I had intended to send this feedback to the owner privately, but since she is showing up here so incredibly disrespectful and dismissive of the concerns of her customers instead of addressing any of them, I am adding my feedback publicly.

Because she likes calling out people’s OPINIONS (her preferred punctuation for that word), I’ll start with my opinions first.

1. The signs outside are ugly and cheap (and dishonest but we’ll get to that) and I’m pretty sure attaching them to a tree counts as vandalism.

2. The candy is WAY overpriced. Calling that opinion because I haven’t done the research on whether or not the rest of town is getting a 10x markup on bulk candy.

3. The ice cream is flavorless and overpriced which they address by adding too much sugar to cheap ingredients which they then mix in. Here again, the markup has to make your eyes water. You’d think she could afford better signage.

4. The staff are bored and poorly trained.

Now, the facts:

1. My son saw the cheap, ugly, faded sign for chocolate covered pickles and decided he must have one.

2. When deciding to pick up a treat for him, I confirmed that this was the place by the sign and went in.

3. I couldn’t find a price for the pickle so asked the bored staff members if this was the place. They gave each other a confused look, said yes, and wrung me up for the $10.39. If nothing else, their confidence in pricing is to be admired. The other person went into the back to get it (apparently it’s a frozen item?) and came back saying there weren’t any. This did not seem to be a surprise to either of them.

They asked if I wanted refund and when I asked why I wouldn’t, they said it’s the same price as two scoops which most people choose to do. Let’s stop for a minute right there. I went and looked up a term on Wikipedia just so we all know what the story is:

“Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud used in retail sales but also employed in other contexts. First, the merchant “baits” the customer by advertising a product or service at a low price; then when the customer goes to purchase the item, they discover that it is unavailable, and the merchant pressures them instead to purchase a similar but more expensive product (“switching”).”

So, this practice is fraud. Small scale fraud but still.

But, also, I get it. It’s $10. Get over it. And I probably would have except….

4. We went back in days later, hoping that this temporary pickle issue was resolved and I was overreacting and checked, yup, sign is still there. Nope, no pickle. This time, my wife and son did go in and get a small sunday that was an eye-watering $22. I tasted it and that was where my earlier opinion came from. Was my experience flavored by the experience up to that point? I have no doubt.

5. While eating this overpriced cup of cheap sugar and fat we read the reviews and I just got more and more irritated with the con these people are perpetrating and then have the gall to talk down to the people who have been suckered by them and step up to give feedback.

If I had any advice to give it would be that if you are going to sell overpriced ice cream and try to shame those that point it out, you might want to make sure that you and your staff are not regularly committing fraud.

I look forward to the dismissive and poorly written response from the owner.
