Izumi has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Kokomo! The food is great and the service is always top notch. The pricing is very reasonable in comparison to restaurants that serve sushi grade fish. Try the Salmon poke or eel poke bowl with a nice Kirin to wash it down. I tell all my friends to give Izumi a try so I figured I’d leave a review so everybody knows they should give them a shot.

After reading a review on Facebook for Izumi Japanese Cuisine, hubby & I went there for lunch today. WOW!!! Entirely delicious from start to finish!!!!!!!
We ordered 3 appetizers, a deep fried sushi roll, and we each ordered stir fry ramen. With drinks (soda) and tax, it was only $50 (plus tip) and we had an entire meal to take home! Excellent portions for Excellent prices! Great service, very friendly!! We left there so pleased with the whole experience!
We live a lot closer to another new ramen place (a place we also love) but I can tell you, we’ll drive the extra 10 minutes to go to Izumi!!!! We were impressed with the other place but Izumi wins out by a lot (in our opinion).
If you haven’t tried it yet, you need to!! I’m already excited to get hungry again so I can eat my leftovers!! LOL

Overall, it was a good experience.
The restaurant was clean and had a nice Japanese vibe, which added to the atmosphere.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated.
I had the spicy miso ramen. The broth had a little kick, but overall the flavor was just okay—it didn’t quite hit the depth I was hoping for. The pork chashu, in particular, had a bit of a gamey taste that didn’t work for me.
That said, considering this is one of the few Asian food spots in Kokomo, I’m not going to be too critical.
I plan to come back a couple more times to get a better sense of their overall consistency.

Amazing appetizer and sushi rolls. Got the takoyaki, raw salmon avocado roll, and the fried crab Rangoon roll. Soooo good. The ramen was pretty good (got the kaisen seafood ramen) but added an egg which wasn’t needed. Strawberry matcha bubble tea was meh. Awesome staff, great atmosphere, will be back!!

Oh my gosh, this is such a cute Kokomo hidden gem! The decor was stunning, the service was fantastic, & the food was delicious. My friend & I recommend the fried crab rangoon roll SO much. I also loved my spicy miso ramen (the egg especially was so good), & she loved her shrimp ramen stir fry. You need to go check this place out!!

My friend and I had lunch at Izumi Japanese cuisine and it was delicious!! The staff was nice and quick and it had a friendly atmosphere. The portions are huge delicious and cheap! For this and a drink it was $20 and for my friends GIANT bowl of ramen and a drink she paid $15! (Not including tips of course). They even gave us a free fried chicken appetizer which was also very delicious and crunchy and juicy all at the same time! I could continue to go on about this place but last thing I will say is how gorgeous it is on the inside! Super cute and worth a try they even gave us a free box of chocolate for valentines!

The ramen was fantastic, especially the char siu was super soft and flavorful. The staff were extremely friendly, the mm music was great, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Would highly recommend!
