We have been here a handful of times hoping for a better experience. They have forgotten an item about 7/10 times. The food is either cooked very well or put together like a toddler. The staff is not kind at all, definitely needs to hire better staff. Decided to go in tonight after working a very long shift in hopes of a quick experience. Drive thru was slammed which is typical so I was patient with that until I realized I got my food & drove off without my drinks. They were busy, it happens. I went inside to grab them and stood there for about 10 minutes being blatantly ignored. Visibly saw someone making food with gloves on, grab her phone to text with the gloves on, then put her phone down & continued making food…very disgusting. Phones collect lots of germs. Do not recommend here unless very desperate at this point. Went downhill very quickly and needs a full new staff.

I ordered a STEAK poblano quesadilla and somehow received BEEF. How do you substitute the main protein of an item that does not even come with another option? That alone is outrageous.

On top of that, the app did not offer Baja Blast pop at all — only a freeze. Explain to me how you have a freeze but not the actual soda. I didn’t order the freeze because I didn’t want one — I wanted the pop. That makes zero sense.

No sauces.
No chips & cheese.
So the order was wrong, incomplete, and missing basic items.

Order placed at 11:48 PM with an original delivery time of 12:42 AM. It then changed to 12:58, 1:14, and 1:32. It took over an hour just to assign a driver.

I ordered from Saint John, Indiana, despite there being two Taco Bell locations 10 minutes away (Saint John & Cedar Lake). Cedar Lake was open until 2 AM, Saint John until 3 AM — yet my order was somehow fulfilled by Crete, which is 18 minutes away.

The store was changed without my permission, the order was cancelled, then reordered. I ordered for Cedar Lake, yet it came from Crete instead.

Order #951811 wasn’t delivered until after 3 AM. Cold food, wrong meat, missing items, excessive delays, and zero communication.

This wasn’t “late-night Taco Bell problems.” This was complete incompetence.

Whoever made my steak bowl tonight did an amazing job. I ordered on the app and went through the drive through… I wish there was a way to rate the meal in the app but there isn’t so I thought id come here. Best steak bowl ive ever gotten, thanks so much!

Could probably get orders out faster if everyone wasn’t outside taking a break at once. 5 employees were outside smoking when I pulled into the parking lot. Employees don’t even greet you when you enter the lobby. Large women and a male went into the bathroom together while I was standing there.

My review of 5 is comparing to other Taco Bells that I have been to since it is a well known chain. We ordered a 3 Crunchy Taco Supreme Combo and substituted the typical soft drink of Pepsi for a specialty Wild Strawberry Creme Delight Freeze (reg size) just to try something different for the review. I was charged .80 for the upgrade and the drink was very good and thick. The filling in the taco supremes was enough and as expected. We also ordered the Chicken Quesadilla Combo with the standard Pepsi and that was very good as well. When we arrived at the speaker though there was a sign that their fryer was down for some reason so the fried desserts weren’t avail. at the moment and the special fries they have weren’t avail. Their loss as I probably would have ordered the dessert. But since the place is brand new it is expected that they will want to make sure everything is running or operating in good order. Service was friendly, Will post photos, having a few issues posting them today but will add them. So glad to see another business in Cedar Lake!

This is easily the best Taco Bell in this area.
Some items are a little bit more expensive than other Taco Bells but it’s worth it.

It’s way better than the Crown Point Taco Bell that’s been going downhill for 5 years. I went there last week out of convenience cuz it was close and it was absolutely disgusting every table was dirty the sauces weren’t stocked they were just standing around talking to each other it took 2 minutes to get my drink cup and 12 minutes to get my food there was barely any meat on my taco and my five layer was about an inch thick and mostly beans it was so gross I couldn’t even finish it. I have no clue how they’re still in business.

I passed up the other Taco Bell on 41 and drove out of my way to go to the Cedar Lake Taco Bell because I knew the food would be on point and I’d actually get some meat in my food

To be honest 1 star is over rating this hole. Absolutly no service. It would have been much better to have self service all the way through. We could have gotten our order right and in less than 30 minutes. The employees that were there ignored the customers. My wife waited so long she had to ask for her money back. Then she was told it was almost ready. Still took another ten minutes. It wasn’t real busy! I cannot make it any clearer what a waste of a place this is. The only recommendation I can give is to drive right past it. To the owner, fire them all and start over or shut the hole down
If I were an employee there I guess I would hide my sorry can in the back as well.
I hate to leave a bad review, but this place was just that bad. The food? We ordered three boxes with large drinks. Got small drinks. Got one decent taco and one good 5 layer burrito. The rest wasn’t worth stopping for much less the $25 plus we spent.

They’re more expensive than downtown Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. They just raised their prices again so I started looking at random locations on their app. Insane. Staff is super nice though!

Food was good- workers had us pull back around for an order with 2 items. Forgot sauce packets + line was too long to pull around for the 3rd time. Also had small kids in the car so couldn’t go in. Maybe take away the prompt that asks which sauce if you’re always going to forget it?

Forgot the main part of my meal. Refused to issue a refund when I called about it. The lady I spoke to on the phone was incredibly condescending and told me she “didn’t remember” my order. I had to tell her multiple times that I had the receipt and was indeed charged for an item I didn’t receive.

It felt like I had to argue just to convince her that I did indeed order what I said I ordered. Her tone was incredibly condescending, and from reading other reviews this is clearly a reoccurring problem.

Unless you’re absolutely dying for some taco bell, skip this place, because even then you probably won’t get your food.

I expect nothing from Taco Bell and I’m still disappointed.
