Very interesting Japanese American fusion food. Beautifully presented, great atmosphere (reminds me a bit of Isomaru Suisan in Japan). The staff were very patient with us as one of the party doesn’t like ordering on a phone. I thought it was very well priced. Very extensive menu and I can’t wait to go back to try more.

This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in town. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious, the service is excellent and the vibes are an impeccable balance between casual and high-end. My husband and I came for a long, leisurely meal for our wedding anniversary in September, and then again the day after Valentine’s Day, and Scarlet actually remembered us so many months later. Everyone who works here has been super nice but she especially is such a sweetheart! Strongly recommend the sushi and hot tapas, and anything with tom yum sauce. And the chicken skin dumplings will absolutely knock your socks off. 10/10, will be back again soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit

Phat Thaiger is truly a gem, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, the experience was wonderful.

The service is exceptional—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and ensured our drinks were always topped off without being intrusive. They truly set the gold standard for hospitality.

The dishes here are intensely flavorful and authentic. Everything tasted incredibly fresh.

If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a wonderfully pleasant dining environment, Phat Thaiger is the only place you need to go. We’ll be back very soon!

Amazing time, very cool food. Fantastic presentation, cool drinks, quick service, and no significant wait. Easy to talk, great music. Huge menu selection and everything was fantastic. We had the yakitori, the mushroom hobe, the japanese scallops with cheese, the lotus chips, the snow crab hand roll, and the pickled vegetable hand roll. All amazing. Drinks were also great- sparkling sake, green tea, and a lemony drink. Dessert was awesome, the brown sugar mochi with green tea ice cream was to die for. New personal favorite boston restaurant.

This place deserves a perfect 10 stars if that were possible! Don’t ask me why—just go and try it for yourself. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food is as fun to look at as it is delicious to eat. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high-quality ingredients they use. You can truly see the passion and care that go into every dish they serve. I brought some friends from out of state here, and they were all so impressed and absolutely loved everything. Strongly recommend!

Phat Thaiger is an incredibly unique experience from the “Thaiger” family of Malden. I’ve been here a number of times since they’ve opened and every time it’s incredible. From the food to the drinks, everything is always fresh, service is always elite, and we always come back for more

The menu at Phat Thaiger is incredibly creative, offering a unique Japanese-Thai fusion that you won’t find anywhere else in New England. Every dish I tried was memorable, especially the Trio Lui Suan Maki Roll with its flavorful special sauce. I was thrilled to find monkfish liver on the menu, which is rarely available at most Japanese restaurants. It was well-prepared and paired perfectly with their ponzu sauce.

The Secret of Yuki Onna drink was smooth and refreshing—just right for winding down. **All the food from the hot kitchen is also a must-try! The Kushi Quail Egg and Chicken Skin Gyoza were absolutely incredible

The service was just as impressive as the food. The entire crew was vibrant, attentive, and made me feel incredibly welcome. This place has become my new favorite spot—I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious! The blend of Thai and Japanese flavors worked very well. Fish was very fresh, and filling portions also. The interior decor and theme is super cute as well! The only con is there are only a few parking spaces out front.

I don’t usually drive far for dinner, but I read great reviews and wanted to try out Phat Thaiger (clever name). Their food was worth the drive! You order your food on your phone which takes away some of the service points, and it took some time before we had a server come by to ask questions. Loves the presentation of the pad see ew in the ceramic takeout containers. We were warned that my son’s chicken pad see ew would be spicy, and it was, but you couldn’t stop eating it! The hand rolls were all very tasty and easy to eat. I like the taco style instead of the cone style. Hamachi crudo was very flavorful. The small skewers were yummy and small so we tried several quail eggs, oyster mushrooms, yakitori, and a fried shrimp. All highly recommend! Their spicy margarita version was fun to order with the flame. I only wish this restaurant was in Boston instead of Malden so that I could get to it easier from the burbs!

Love the creativity of this place! Decoration is so pretty. There’s various selections on drinks and food. We were a bit confused on how should we place our order at first, but we figured out after some time. We liked our drinks and food overall. It’s just that some of our dishes pretty lacked in flavors tho the presentation on each dish was fabulous. Fried chicken skewer was definitely one of my favorites
