I’ve been to Sun Bar a few times since they opened. They have a unique blend of Asian offerings with American and Seafood features. Dined in on 11/12/24 between lunch and dinner so it was a slow time for the staff and kitchen.
We couldn’t decide on entrees or how hungry we were so ordered a mixture of apps that are pictured. All the food was a miss/fail with the best dish being the wedge salad. The nachos were not very warm and featured cheese whiz. The tacos were flavorless, other than the slaw and the shell was unprepared and taken out of a bag. The spring rolls had a chance but were over fried and took on too much grease flavor. The rest was just OK.

The atmosphere is great featuring tall ceilings, beautiful bar and wood accents also clean.

Our server was good but enjoyed the downtime by hanging out in a corner booth instead of engaging with their customers.

One of the worst reviews I’ve written in a while and I would suggest going elsewhere particularly since their prices are on the high end for the quality they serve.

I was very impressed with the dinner I had here at Sun Bar and Grill. The staff was very friendly, easy to talk to, and definitely contributed to my overall experience. I started off with the pork belly tacos, which were a delight given the range of toppings inside. I then got the burger and it was very tasty. It was cooked medium rare just like I asked, and came with a sizable portion of french fries. I also got their Mai Tai, and it was delicious and not too sweet, just the way I like it. The decor was also very nice and modern, it definitely felt like I was eating at a nice restaurant. I would definitely come back here again.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. We had crab ragoon as a starter. They were tasty. My wife had chicken pho which she said was very good. It smelled good. I had a bacon cheeseburger with bacon which was tasty. Andrew did a great job. Very attentive. Food came out quick and hot. Nice job Sun bar and grill.

This spot is truly nice. The atmosphere and music were lovely, creating a really pleasant dining experience. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel very welcome.

As someone always on the hunt for great pho around, I can confidently say their pho was delicious – definitely a new favorite! My husband’s dish was also excellent, We’ll definitely be back!

What a great find in Milford! If you are looking for options between American pub fare and Asian-fusion, whether dine in or take out, this is your place! A bit tough to find in the middle of Lorden Plaza, sure, but easy to navigate to right off Nashua St. (aka 101A) and right next to a major on/off ramp. Parking is free and ample. Let’s get on with it: the food, atmosphere, and service has been phenomenal each visit. Check out the photos of the revamped menu below. We visited early so I could get photos and videos of the place (there were some folks there eating already!) Our bartender was prompt and kind. We asked for mojitos (see below) and it was fantastic. I even joked that mojitos are tedious to make – she laughed it off and said how she loves to make what customers also love. Off to a great start! Our last visit we did chicken Caesar, wings, and the Tom Kha soup at the bar. Chicken Caesar mainly to see how they do “restaurant staples.” It was great – no surprises, no frills, and the chicken was not dry. Next, wings. Normally I wouldn’t order something so mundane, but the bartender told us they prepare all items fresh in the back, never frozen, including the chicken wings. They were massive in size – you could tell they were not frozen. Additionally, we had to try the Gochujang glaze and it is our new favorite sauce. Tangy, slightly spicy with that “Asian touch” these went amazing solo or with some blue cheese. I cant rave enough about this sauce – so much so that we went back 4 days later for takeout of the same exact meals. Lastly, the Tom Kha soup was fantastic. What I really noticed about this: light for a creamy soup, and I didn’t detect much sugar, if any at all (I reserve the right to be wrong, and it did say “coconut sugar” but not Coco Lopez, which is sicky sweet to me). In this coconut based soup: chicken (by choice, it comes vegetarian to start) carrots, celery, onion, broccoli, cauliflower – all extremely fresh. The manager came over at some point to check in and she gave us the lowdown on the establishment. New ownership and revamped menu has given Sun a much needed boost! Now it’s our turn! Go and support this place. The soup traveled well for take out – so don’t think you have to dine in to enjoy the flavors. Check out the video and pics below, but a huge bar with tons of seating and TVs. The kitchen is “family” the manager told us and has a vested interest in the establishment, so you can tell each meal is handcrafted with confidence. There aren’t many good Asian fusion restaurants in the Milford area, this one is absolutely with your time. We are now raving fans of the Sun Bar and Grill, hope you are too!

I’ve always loved this place and have been pushing to come here after many great visits, which is why this was such a letdown. We ordered today and the quality has clearly gone downhill.
The crab rangoons, which I used to rave about, were nothing but cream cheese — no crab, no flavor. The Kung Pao chicken was just fried chicken tossed in a strange sauce with a bagged salad mix.
These are dishes I’ve ordered here many times, and what we got today was nothing like what this restaurant used to serve. I don’t know if they changed chefs or suppliers, but the food now feels cheap and low-quality. I’ve never been this disappointed.

A pleasant surprise in the Shaws plaza, which is nothing like the outside when you walk in to the chic decor. We had a solidly good experience here as a family on a Friday night. We walked in and sat down right away with no reservations needed. Great Asian fusion. The tuna tower was fresh and flavorful. It’s hard to find a place that serves decent pho and ramen. They were both excellent. The broth for both dishes was delicious. The kids’ chicken nuggets each came with enough nuggets to feed a small army. Our server was attentive and fixed a small order mix-up right away. Really small details would make this place outstanding. For example, I wish the lychee martini had a lychee fruit garnish on it. I wish the ramen came with an egg and some other small fixings. I will still certainly be back.

My daughter and I had dinner here and we were pleasantly surprised with a very enjoyable evening. I wish we had taken photos of the food as the presentation was very nice! We shared the bacon wrapped scallops (delicious and cooked just right) and a wedge salad (very fresh ingredients and enough for 2 people), and for entrees we had the Crispy Chicken Ramen soup and Marmalade Burger. They were both good portions, the burger was cooked as I asked and the chicken and ramen were very flavorful. It was a Monday night so not too busy but our waitress was very attentive and friendly, the service and atmosphere was very nice, very clean. The location is easy to get to and easy for parking. A nice new addition to Milford NH!

Pleasantly surprised here. Not a tremendous amount of variety; instead they focused on doing less things but done well. Chicken ramen was hands down best I’ve had in the area unless you want to put serious mileage on the car heading towards Boston. Add to that a kid-friendly eating area with kids menu items, plus happy hour on weekdays and this is going on the regular rotation for our family.

Unexpected find. Stopped in on a Tuesday night. I’m sorry I forget the gentleman’s name (seems to be a newer waiter) was exceptional. We ordered the Mac and cheese and a burger. The food was top notch. We decided to come back tonight (Halloween) because we couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing it was. Kylie was our waitress she was super sweet and the food did not miss. We loved our last meal so much we ordered the same thing. Burger and fries are just beyond amazing and the mac and cheese with fried tenders even better. We love the atmosphere it’s very laid back and we have found our new date night restaurant. Thank you to all the staff!
