Amazing food. Service was excellent. You get a big glass of water unlike most restaurants who give you a 4 oz glass of water. Steak was so good. Chocolate cake was excellent. No crime here, unlike Stockton where your car can get broken into.

After doing some wine tasting with my wife in Lodi, we decided to grab dinner before heading back home. We came across an interesting-looking restaurant and bar, so we decided to give it a shot. The atmosphere was incredible—it felt like we were transported back to the Prohibition era, enjoying cocktails and good food in a speakeasy. The décor really nailed that vintage vibe, and the service was just as impressive. Our waiter, who also worked the bar, was super attentive and made some of the best drinks we’ve had.

He let us know there would be live music later that evening, but unfortunately, we couldn’t stick around long enough to catch it. We’ll definitely have to come back sometime to enjoy the music with a good Old Fashioned in hand.

I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was a solid, flavorful cut—no complaints there. Overall, the place had great food, excellent service, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Wow, wow, wow! Exchange knocked it out of the park! Came here on Monday night, for a double date with my wife and friends. Beginning with the drinks 10/10, the bartender Sammy was not only knowledgeable but super sweet and attentive! I had the smoked old fashioned which felt full, rich and substantial to the pallet. My wife had the Florence which was very floral, aromatic and perfectly balanced. For starters we shared the mussels and calamari, the mussels came drowned in a savory garlic sauce and the calamari was crisp and tender. For the dinner course I had the 14oz rib eye (medium rare) and my wife the salmon. The rib eye was not only perfectly charred but also well seasoned and literally melted in your mouth. In summary we will be back and excited to try all the other many dishes and drinks they have to offer! Thank you!

Another thing to note is all the details and attention to not only the building but the chairs, tables, glasses and lights! There is a charm to this place that comes with a feeling of mystery that transports you to the late 1800’s! I would recommend the exchange 1874 to anyone!

This is a great bar. We had appetizers and cocktails. I had the Tequila Paloma, we also had the Smoked Old Fashions. We paired this with Broiled Bone Marrow, Pork Belly Tacos and the Tempura Artichokes. Everything was excellent. Go soon, the Bartenders were EXCELLENT! I recommend

My wife and I went here following the Valentines day wine and chocolate wine event in Lodi. Turned out to be a big dissapoinment. We didnt have a reservation and were told it was fully booked so the only place to sit was at the bar. No problem with that as we will often eat at the bar. We quickly learned it was a price fixe menu for dinner. Again that was understandable. Wr asked if we could get some bread even though it wasnt on the menu and they accomodated us. First hint that this wasnt going to be great was they served oil and balsalmic with the bread but it was together in one small bowl. The balsalmic layered on the bottom so the bread would absorb all the oil and it was nearly impossible to get balsalmic. Admittedly I am nitpicking but it turned out to be a sign of their attention to detail. The meal started with ceaser salads. Neither mine or my wife had any noticeable dressing. A very dry ceasar. I had the salmon which was very good. My wife had the chicken marsala which had zero flavor. The chicken tasted boiled. There was no marsala taste. And one funky mushroom on top. Both our mashed potatoes were chunky and tasteless. I dont believe they used anything to season them. Very bland. My veggies were good and well seasoned so I know they have seasoning back there! Fir dessert my wife had the seasonal fruit crisp and I had the chocolate cake or torte. I cant remember exactly. My chocolate was ok. Nothing special and remineded me of a frozen dessert yiu could get at the store. My wifes crisp was clearly not cooked at all. The apple chunks and blueberries were raw and the crisp was barely lukewarm. The Ice cream scoop on top was good though. At $75 each we were greatly dissapointed. Especially my wifes selectiins since none of her courses met even basic expectations. We did mention our issues to the serving bartender and she was quick to delete one of the meals from our tab which was gracious and fair. This was our first time here and do plan on trying it again and hope this was just an anomaly but I have my doubts that it was.

Just had one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years tonight celebrating my sons birthday at the Exchange here in Lodi, the hostess and staff went to extra efforts to make sure me and my guess were comfortable and the meal superb! Highly recommend anyone wanting good food, service and atmosphere, to plan an evening to dine to stop in, you find something to fit your taste and no disappointment.

We arrived early and asked to sit inthe Ghost Lounge until the rest of our party arrived for dinner. The atmosphere and specialty drinks were fantastic. We were then seated for dinner and we were served by Lacey who was very kind and helpful. I had the chicken marsala which prepaired perfectly. Our friends had the duck and said it was also wounderful. Plentiful and appetizing to the max. Pricey but worth the experience. We will do it again…

I love the exchange 1874. The ghost lounge has the coolest speakeasy Vibe, we been here about 3 times now and we always sit at the bar. Sammi & Brie always takes care of us. They’re crafted bartenders and so pleasant to chat with. We have yet to sit in the dining area, we like sticking to the bar lounge. Did I Mention this place is haunted and it has history. Go and hear the employees stories, sammi told us one. I must not forget the delicious entrees and appetizers are so good to each pallet. Did someone say
cocktail time?

We booked a reservation at The Exchange in Woodbridge, CA for a birthday celebration, and it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had—before we even had a chance to order.

We paid $150 to reserve specific seating at the bar, but when we arrived, the hostess (Star) was shockingly rude and unwelcoming. We showed up nearly 30 minutes early and still ended up waiting over an hour to be seated. When the hostess finally attempted to seat us, she informed us without any real explanation that our table had been moved. Her reasoning was confusing and contradictory, and instead of honoring the reservation we paid for, she tried to seat us upstairs, which we clearly explained would not work for our celebration.

After unnecessary back-and-forth, they eventually sat us at the table we had already reserved and paid for. Our waitress poured water but never brought menus, so we waited… and waited. After almost 20 minutes with no menus and no acknowledgment, our group decided it was best to leave and take our business elsewhere.

For a restaurant that charges for reservations, we expected at least basic professionalism and courtesy. Unfortunately, The Exchange failed on both fronts.
