If you grew up in San Francisco, this bakery is sure to delight! Like many of the Italian bakeries that dotted the neighborhoods around SF, this one brings the quality and creativity of the greatest cake shops of my youth! I wouldn’t go anywhere else for celebratory cakes, cookies and other delicious desserts! And then there’s the Danish!! It was a fabulous find! The owner is lovely and cares for the locals. He’s a genuinely wonderful man. I highly recommend this bakery!!

I tried a slice of champagne cake a month ago. It was Delicious. The frosting was fluffy and sugary. The filling was dense and rich. Yesterday picked up an entire Pink champagne cake, was totally different. The filling was more like pudding, and the frosting was hard and greasy textured. Definitely not the same as The delicious slice I tried the first time. And at $42 was a little pricey.

Ordered a round fruit basket cake, expensive at that! Only to receive a sad, dry excuse of a “fruit basket cake” made of only strawberries, a handful of blueberries & a dollop of pineapple preserves.
It was nothing as described on their online menu.
Which i had to re-read to make sure I wasn’t loosing my mind or memory, as I’ve been getting fruit baskets from there for 35+ yrs.
They used to be the best, not anymore! Their attention to quality has gone downhill & is lacking. I forgave them when they sold me a gritty beehive cake, cause you know, things happen.
Not this time. After this, it’s time to find another bakery who takes pride in the product they produce. In this economy, I cannot waste money or lack of quality for my loved ones special occasions.

I finally found a place that makes eclairs that remind me of
what my mother made when I was a child. Up until yesterday not one bakery could compare, but Cavaliere’s Bakery does, and I am so grateful. So if you like eclairs, this is the place!
