Wife & I had lunch here today.
Had the Sinatra burger & crab cake BLT both had fries.
The place was extremely busy. We were seated as we were greeted.Our server was very prompt, courteous & friendly.
Had bowl of chili & clam chowder to start .
Food here is EXCELLENT as well as the SERVICE.
This is the restaurant Oxford has needed.
Highly recommended.
Came back for lunch again today 1/4.
As before we were seated as we were greeted.
Nikki our server was phenomenal. She was prompt, friendly, very personable as well as funny. We met the manager Peter, great guy.
Drinks here are well made. Ordered baked haddock & steak tips. Tips were INCREDIBLE ( ordered med. Rare) charred perfectly, tender(cut with butter knife) Seasoned to perfection.
Haddock was equally as good.
Run do not walk to the OX, THIS IS THE PLACE TO DINE IN 2020 & BEYOND.

This place was wildly dissapointing. Our food was ice cold, and wasn’t very good to boot (the cheese on my sandwich was not melted, AT ALL). The topper was looking at my checking account and finding that the entire bill had been charged to my card, even though the bill was split between two cards and cash. Our waitress was amazing, and the bartender made a pretty good Manhattan (but forgot the cherries). I’ll never be back.

Just opened this week so we were expecting some glitches. We walked in before 6pm on a Friday night and the bar was packed and there was a wait for a table (good sign!). The manager behind the bar told us we could sit at one of the high tops (thank you!!!) Our waitress seemed to also be a bartender but she couldn’t pour a decent beer. I get it, they are trying to figure out staffing.
We ordered apps and they took a long time (an hour) to come out. The manager (Peter) was awesome and kept coming over to check on us. When the food did come out it was hot and really good.
We saw our waitress walk out with her coat on. She never said she was leaving or transitioned us to another server. We brought it up to Manager Peter not as a complaint but something he should really know.
We are definitely going back. The menu is pub food with a twist. Approachable but many items are different than I’ve seen elsewhere. Not your “same old” standards.
Even though it was slow (they’ll work it out), the quality was very good and management was excellent!

Was told it was going to be a 40 minute wait for 2 people. We waited over an hour and on top of that people who came in after me were seated first. I may change my 2 stars to 3 depending on the food if I ever get to sit down and eat. Still waiting.
Update: when we did get seated finally the manager Pete came over and apologized for what happened. He was very friendly. The food was really good. I am gluten free and the hamburger bun did not taste like the gluten free buns I get in the store it was really soft and not dry. The hamburger itself was juicy. I will be coming back hopefully they are able to fix how long you wait.

After waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food to be served, I ordered the Ox Burger medium rare which was served well done, very dry and no flavor. I couldn’t even finish my meal due to the lack of satisfaction. The side order of sweet potato fries were overcooked (crunchy) too.
Manager came over to our table to see if we were enjoying our meal; I explained the disappointment of food quality, and how long the wait time was to be served after we placed our order. He did apologize and asked if I wanted a new burger cooked, but after waiting 30 minutes already I said “no thank you”. Then our server came over 5 minutes after the manager left and asked the very same thing. I explained that I already spoke with the manager about my disappointment and she too said “sorry” but it seemed that neither of them were genuinely apologetic about the whole incident. Not even a small discount was offered or taken off the bill in hopes to gain a customer’s satisfaction back. First impressions are lasting impressions. 🙁

Service was impeccable, not one complaint, food was cooked to perfection. I will be returning to try other dishes they have on the menu. Drinks were served in good time it was decently busy as well. The waitress was very kind and I could tell had passion for the restaurant she works for. The manager was very caring into making sure we were 100 percent satisfied with service and our meal. They earn every star I gave by all performance requirements.

Got take out right after the Gov. allowed re-opening. Being new to the area we didn’t know what to expect but were pleasantly, very pleasantly surprised. Our meals were delivered curbside and they were still piping hot when we got home. Portions were huge, the food was great and pricing very fair for the size of the portions. Only complaint is that they use sea salt on their fries which sticks more than standard so next time we’ll order them unsalted and salt ourselves. Looking forward to returning!

Went to Ox Bar for 1st time early New year’s Eve. Got seated right away our waitress was Marrisa and she was fabulous. My husband was impressed with the beer menu and ordered one he’s never had and loved it. He had clam chowder and we had the veggie spring rolls for apps. Both were great and served hot and quickly. Husband had the steak tips I had the baked haddock both were delicious. Prices were reasonable, hope that doesn’t change,the previous restaurant at that location didn’t last for that reason it was too expensive for the town. We will definitely be back.

Service was good. Atmosphere loud and feeling cafeteria like right down to the dollar store silverware. Excellent beer selection but could invest in drink menus. Food was very tasty except app and meals were lukewarm except for my fish and chips which were spot on. We did not leave there wowed.
