We went there last month for my birthday. This place is as amazing as the authentic restaurants in Paris. We were with a group of 10 and ordered almost everything on the menu. Everything as delicious. The owner was there too and he took such great care of everyone in the restaurant. They seemed to have a lot of repeat customers. The staff was so great and made our special day, extra special. We’ve already made reservations to go back next month.

Had the beet salad, pork calvados, lobster ravioli, and grand marinier souffle. Everything was excellent. The staff are lovely. The wine by the glass paired perfectly. I’d go every week if I could.

I haven’t been here in five or six years and I immediately noticed when we got here that they updated the decor and it looks great inside. We had the filet mignon, duck a l’orange, mussels, scampi in tarragon butter and crème brûlée for dessert. Our server Juan was lovely and we will back soon. Very impressed by how consistently good this place has been for the last 53 years.

A real hidden gem in the valley. I have been to all French bistros in the valley and this is easily in my top two or three. Being that there are six that I know of it really is better than most. I love how it’s tucked just off Ventura Blvd so parking is easier and it feels more like a neighborhood restaurant that way. It’s small on the inside but the seating is really laid out well with lots of different booths and seating options. The menu is small but has a lot of great options. Tonight however I chose solely from the specials menu.

I started off with the Bone Marrow appetizer and it was fantastic. The gravy they put on top of it really added to the flavor and made me want to order another. Honestly it was one of the better bone marrow appetizers I have had in town. For my entrée I chose the special for the night the Pacific Dory Grenobloise. Delicious sauce which I’ve had before, with one of my favorite fishes: the John Dory. It was cooked perfectly and was a great sized portion. Finally for dessert I topped it off with a Grand Marnier Soufflé and loved it. It was done perfectly and better than a lot of others I have had in town being that this is my favorite dessert so I order it as often as I can.

Overall a fantastic meal in a very casual but classy environment. I would recommend to anyone dining in the valley, any fan of French bistros, or anyone looking for a great meal.

First time having french food and it was delish! Had the lobster ravioli and frog legs. Loved both of the dishes. The new manager Michael was a great host and waiter. He was very attentive and friendly. Even gave my husband and I a glass of champagne on the house for looking so dressed up. Will def go back again!

Has great French food and wonderful service while the French music plays in the background. The beef bourgongne and coq au vin are excellent. We love this place, one of our favorite “date night” restaurants.

I haven’t been in over 3 years, and I have to admit, I really don’t know why… Maybe it’s because we don’t live in Tarzana, but that shouldn’t matter. My family and I go far and wide — anywhere in Los Angeles, really – for excellent food. We made reservations for Saturday evening. We were greeted and were taken to our table.

Our waiter was absolutely marvelous.
He was knowledgeable of all the specials, and he was genuinely friendly and courteous.

Overall, the restaurant’s atmosphere was clean, moderately quiet, and classy. Food made delicious and very tasty.

We are definitely come back.

First of all, very loving place. The atmosphere is very nice and elegant. Secondly, the food presentation is exquisite and amazingly delicious. The place really reminds me of Paris with the french menu they offer. Thirdly, the staff and owner was super friendly and professional. The food was delivered on time. It’s one of my top favorite place to eat at.

What a pretty restaurant! We ate there with French friends so we were a bit anxious that they would like our recommendation. They liked it very much and said a traditional French menu was offered there. We enjoyed escargot, a salad, and French onion soup for starters. My husband and I enjoyed crispy duck with a medley of vegetables. Depending on how hungry you are, the duck portion is ample and can be shared. Our friends had scallops and a delicate white fish. To finish, we had one grand marnier soufflé and a chocolate soufflé. Of course, there was wine. The service was pleasant. This is not a meal for a dieter but why go to a French restaurant if you aren’t there to enjoy!!!

Faux French food served at obscene prices, after which you are cheated on your bill.

The food here is strictly mediocre at best. I could not believe how dry, tough and tasteless my rack of lamb was. However, the poor quality of the food is not the worst of it. I was horrified to see the total amount on our bill, so I tried reading the itemized receipt. Unfortunately, it was hand-written and virtually illegible, specially in a dimly lit restaurant. I did take pictures of both sides of the check with my phone. This place does not give you an itemized bill after they charge your credit card. After I got home, I carefully went through all the items we ordered. They had charged us for the more expensive wine on the list, not the one we ordered. Most of the other items were charged correctly. However, the total amount did not add up correctly. We were overcharged by $180.

If you are shocked when you are presented with the check, don’t be embarrassed to ask for a printed, itemized bill, if the one they give you is illegible. Take out your calculator and make sure the total adds up correctly.

Overall, this is a pretentious, overpriced restaurant which has a very dishonest owner. You can get better French food elsewhere for one third the cost.
