If you have dairy or nut allergies I would not recommend Uncle Luigi in Ship Bottom NJ as a shop to visit. There case that has dairy free ice cream was stored in had the tubs stacked on top of each other with no lids. So the tubs had the bottom of other tubs inside the another tub on top of the dairy free ice cream. Also in the same case with dairy free nut free ice cream they had a tub of ice cream with nut stored along side the dairy free ice cream
We had been the prior 2 nights and that was not the situation. When I contacted the owner he did not seem to care.
When you have member of your family with allergies you have to be very carefully when purchasing. It was very upsetting that this store owner did not care about his customers and did not even have the decency to apologize. All he could say was we have soft serve ice cream which is a dairy product.

We stopped here first before the beach and it was a great experience! The girl working was super helpful with recommendations and I ended up getting the bomb pop (rainbow) flavor and it was so delicious. Refreshing and beautiful to look at! It is cash only but they have an ATM.

When it first opened it was the best deal on the island but prices have climbed to compare with every other place. They play 50’s music which is nice and place is very clean. Owner is often moody and he sometimes is difficult about honoring coupons that he gives out and doesn’t ever remember you even if you go there often. All in all, great product but if I’m spending $40-50 on ice cream for my family would rather go to Skipper Dipper.

First time here, we will be back. Great selection of Italian ice flavors. Allergy friendly, many dairy free choices. The Passionfruit ice is amazing as was the peanut butter cup and the tropical rainbow ice. One of the best watermelon Italian ices I’ve tasted. Great, friendly service.

Owner was very nasty. Woman with hearing problems couldn’t understand what the owner was saying, owner began to get nasty and yell. Ice cream was good, but will go down LBI blvd and get good ice cream and good service. Make sure you listen to when the owner talks or you will get yelled out.
