First time trying Cassie’s Cafe. Use to go there when it was another restaurant. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. I got the grilled chicken tenders with home fries & slaw. I asked for a side of chili but they use theirs for hotdogs so they only gave me a small sample, which I thought was really nice service wise. We spent $20. The burger was great, but onion rings were really greasy, yet so good. The chili, I didn’t care for it. So it was good I got a sample. The grilled chicken tenders were very juicy & delicious! I enjoyed them! The home fries, I don’t know why I expected square chunks, but they were round. Good but could have cooked longer, they were a little to hard for my taste. I can imagine they would go fantastic with eggs though. I wouldn’t choose that side with dinner next time. The slaw.. that was different. It was very good. Texture and flavor close to KFC. But it had a fried chicken after taste. That makes no sense, but that’s how it tasted. Very good, but like I had just taken a bite out a piece of fried chicken & ate it with the slaw. That’s how strong it seemed to me. It was odd. But it was sure good! I kept looking around for the piece of fried chicken! It made me wish I got fried instead of grilled! I’ll be back definitely!

Absolutely amazing! I’ve been coming here on my lunch break, and they completely understand that I only have an hour to eat and accommodate that. On top of that, everyone is so nice and the food is done to perfection. Everything is homemade, from the food to the sauce, which makes it that much better. I love the double cheese burger and can’t wait until I can try the others!

Decided to order here for the first time tonight. Spent $40. Asked for hamburger steak with mashed potatoes. I got coleslaw. I HATE COLESLAW!! Ruined it for me! Can’t eat hamburger steak without mashed potatoes. My husband was suppose to have hush puppies with his shrimp per the menu but he didn’t get any. My son said his hamburger is super salty! And the amount of fries given for a dinner meal was probably 8 total. I was already home when I saw all of this, it took a good 35-40 mins for my food to be done so I sure wasn’t driving back and waiting for it to be corrected.
I’ve been looking forward to eating here for so long. Unfortunately it will be the last!

I’ve been driving past this place everyday for the last 2 years. Finally decided to stop in and let’s just say I’m a little disappointed I waited so long! The customer service is amazing, a few of the customers realized it was my first time and they started making suggestions which made it an inviting atmosphere, and the food…the food was amazing!!! I’m not a huge leftover person but there was so much food that I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting. I refused to let it go to waste and enjoyed the rest for my lunch today! I would definitely recommend

Tonight I called at 7:12 to ask the evenings specials. They close at 8:00. She told me the special and I said “Great! I’m going to call back and place a to go order.” At 7:28 I call back. The phone rings and rings. My wife thinks I have the wrong number so she calls and it rings and rings. I call again. We live right down the street so I just hopped in the car and get down there at 7:38 and the door is locked. A lady saw me and came to the door and was just as sweet as she could be and started talking about how they had been slow and someone related to the owner had passed away and they closed early. She then said “were you the one calling?” I gave my condolences and left. It wasn’t till I was on my way home that I thought about the fact that there were three people in there who knew I was going to call back with an order and instead of just answering the phone and telling me they were closing early, they chose to ignore the phone. I just thought it could have been handled better.

Kristy the manager called and was again, as sweet as could be. I appreciate the prompt response from her and the owner and will update my review as soon as I get to stop by again and actually try the food.

The food is very good, WHEN YOU CAN CATCH THEM OPEN. I even checked to see if they were open and google shows they are til 8….so my daughter went by there and every light in the business is out…then try to call, which rang busy…mind you, this is 6pm…PRIME suppertime hours on a church night. I can understand if there’s a family emergency being the reason, but they are never open any other time….Please bring back Café 302 and their hours, otherwise please start opening up at least during the week. Take a gander at how New Market Family Restaurant does their hours, and they been in business for years, if it’s an operating issue. Either way, it’d be a perfect spot for a place for folks who live in the area to eat without driving back

Came to the drive thru. Notice on the window asked to be patient 12 minutes later still nothing. I get it your busy and short staffed. A simple hey give us a few extra minutes we will be with you simple courtesy takes less than 3 seconds. Went somewhere else for dinner. Communication with customers is important and has no labor or food costs. Ole Hickory BBQ is serving burgers now as good as Cassie’s if not better. They were glad to take our order. Sure do miss 302 Cafe.
